Depending on how you look at it, it could be good or bad news: The Armando Gutierrez indicted August 19th in New Mexico doesn't appear to be our Miami lobbyist/political operative. It is a coincidence that they are the same age, but while reading the indictment I found it said that Armando was being charged with tax evasion (one of many charges) for not paying New Mexico State Personal Income Tax. Wouldn't he, as a resident of Florida, not be responsible for income tax in another State? So I am inclined to think, this is not our man being charged in New Mexico. Bummer. I hope to be proved wrong.
