Marlins Stadium Vote: Update. By Geniusofdespair

The Commission Chambers at the City of Miami are full. Speakers are ready for the Marlin's vote. They haven't started yet. Sarnoff is the unknown factor. Don't expect an update on the County vote because I am going to be there. 10:30 The Marlins/officials just finished, now the people are up. Since only 10% of the thousands of construction jobs promised have to be local, I don't expect a large union contingent. 10:44 - Jobs, jobs, jobs is the majority of the testimony now. 11:24 - Most speakers are supporters.

More and more people are starting to catch on that the bailout the Marlins demand is a lousy deal for the taxpayers. The $2 billion expense will cause harm to the community.
