Watch This Video on the Results of "Developers Gone Wild". By Geniusofdespair

A MUST SEE: Watch this channel 4 video: Developer Disaster. An alert reader sent us this link about a ghost town left on former farmland. There is an earlier video too.

Developers Armando and Antonio Alonso developed 70 units in Florida City on a massive land parcel, the size of "70 football fields." It was suppose to be almost 700 units. After building 70 units, the developers went bankrupt having sold only 10 units. The couple living there, interviewed for this video, said they have 9 neighbors and crime at night is rampant without street lights or security. Not to worry about the Alonso's, they are secure in a two million dollar plus compound near Kendall, according to the video.

Another roaring BushCo success story.
It amazes me that zoning commissions would approve such pie in the sky developments. And what about sewage and water issues concerning these monstrosities. If I could see this as the bubble it was 6 years ago - and I'm not even in the business - why couldn't they?

They did. It was legalized fraud. Look to the unreformable majority of the county commission for who was responsible; Natacha Seijas, Numero Uno.

No postal service, the police had no idea this was even in their city. People ended up calling Fla. City, Homestead and finally metro cops. Fla. City is responsible for protection. What a mess. The Alonso's have several cars and trucks worth more than what they built. Whatever happened to bonding of people on projects of this magnitude?

Too bad no one followed up on how much Crook Wallace got for approving the project. He has his hands in everything that happaens in FL City. The Fl City council is his rubber stamp.
