This is strange... look at the name if his wife per his County bio:
Barreiro is the son of Cuban immigrant parents and was born in Clearwater, Florida in December 1965. He has been married to his wife Zoraida for 11 years, they are the proud parents of two children.
But, the address in Miami Beach looks to similar.. Let me check one more thing. This is his address according to his Election Filing:
2101 SW 4th Avenue, Miami, FL 33129
I think the jury is still out, but, it is very interesting...
"Although District 5 Commissioner Bruno Barreiro filed a more accurate report, it still raises questions. He boasts a net worth of $168,999, but the 34-year-old has no employment besides his county commission responsibilities. “I haven't been able to secure another job,” he explains. “I do some investments. I buy and sell stocks.” It's questionable, though, how busy that keeps him, since his total declared stock ownership is only $1651. Barreiro, who was elected as a state representative in 1992, hasn't had a job other than politician since 1994, when he quit working for his parents' HMO. During 1998, the last year he served in the legislature, he received just $25,398. Barreiro claims he has dipped into his savings to survive. “It is a substantial setback,” he complains. Still his net worth increased between 1998 and 1999 by $30,599.66. He attributes the gain to property appreciation on his Ocean Drive apartment."
I guess the last 8 years have been very good for Bruno. Should be reflected in his campaign finance reports, if this property is his...
Nothing to say about his "committment" to the environment, if it is indeed our Bruno.
The keys property is very very very undervalued... and according to the papers from the army corp, that was infill for a house, a 60 x 110 lot is good size lot for the keys... and he just added a little bit. But the 5,000 dollar fine is chump change...
Actually, the Miami beach property is a nice investment too...

I have confirmation that the property in question is owned by the Parents of Commissioner Barreiro, not the Commissioner himself. Alicia is his mother, and his father is Bruno Sr. I don't have any idea whether the Commissioner new or should have known of his father's activities. Can't really impune the acts of the father onto the son in good faith without evidence to the contrary. Take it for what it is worth.

Ya can't political or socially blame the son for what the father does.......good or bad
Oscar J. Braynon, Sr.
Hope you are right. Thanks for offering the information.
