Ronald "Ron" Book: A picture is worth a thousand words. By Geniusofdespair

Knowing me, you might have figured this photo has been photo-shopped to make Ron Book look like a foolish despot. After 38 years of lobbying, I guess one might feel Kingly.

In fact, I didn't photoshop this, Lobbyist Ron Book actually posed for the photo and that is his own prop: An Olympic torch. I found the picture in "Cravings of Aventura." His 120 clients must be proud of their Ron, the lobbyist!

you know whats funny. not this picture of a man who is dedicated to making florida a better place ..but the jealous people who know him for making a difference its sickening to me that a man can be so hard working and gross people who blog to talk bad about a man who has made changes in this sate im sure thats alot more than this person who wrote this or the bloggers who comment! grow up and stop passing judgment on people because you cant be as successful and determined as ron book!

Your comment didn't make sense. He posed for this photo...we didn't make him.

He skirts the ethical fringe sometimes...he can lobby for opposite interests at the same time. He has opened HIMSELF up for the criticism he has garnered by being arrogant. Success does not mean you can walk over people -- you have to walk with them.

Why did he allow the land near the airforce base for the transitional housing for the formerly homeless to be diverted from what the land was given for -- endangering the federal grant. The Grant was all mucked up.... Ron could have cleared it all up in a good way but didn't. He lobbied for another use of the land instead. It is hard to get land zoned for these sorts of uses...why divert that use?

We know he does pro-bono work but...
he has issues. Plenty of issues.

Cosgrove used to say some interesting things about him...
