I am a previous employee at Great Country Mortgage. I only worked there a short time. When I was asked to do things I did not want to do, and that were obviously fradulent, I immediately left and sought empoyment elsewhere. I have been in the mortgage industry for over 20 years. I was told to do numerous fradulent/altered documents, forge buyers signatures on documents that were not signed by buyers, and even told "it was part of my job". I know most of the employees there felt it was there duty to do what ever they were told, even if it meant fraud. One time a fellow employee in my dept said she was going to be fired if she did not forge a signature that was needed at closing and was never signed by the buyer. These type of businesses should be banned from cthe lending business. This is part of the reason why there are so many foreclosures in our nation, because of lenders like this giving buyers homes they cannot afford.
