The whole string of the Obama baby photos were adorable.
YES. Temperament is important to me in my elected officials. After all, they represent me with the demeanor they present to the world. I want some kindness in my leaders.
I am sick of people like Maria who make the assumption that religious people are "God-like". Some of the worst among us evoke God; like Catholic priests and abuse of young boys. Some candidates wear God like a flag pin while they do horrible things. God is not going to punish any of us because we are Democrats, Republicans, Christians, Jews, Muslims or even Athiests. If you believe in a supreme being, he or she will judge us by our deeds. Religious doctrine has no place in a domocracy because, by definition, in a democracy we are all treated equally, regardless of our religion. I can't think of anything worse than living in a Theocracy. By all accounts Obama is a decent person. To say that God will not allow him to be elected is ignorant and shows an inability to think clearly, or at all.
Just saw a movie where King Philip of Spain sent the Spanish Armada to destroy the bastard child of Henry the Eighth because it was "God's Will". Elizabeth the First annihilated the entire fleet. Ten years later, Philip died, leaving Spain bankrupt. Bush is like Philip, but with term limits. Seems to me that McCain will finish that job, and Palin will continue with the Republican destruction of our Constitution.
I thinks its time for everyone to remember that this election is not about "Joe the Plumber", its about bringing home "Joe the Soldier". Real followers of Jesus, or even those of us that admire his philosophies, should remember that about all else, he was a peacemaker.
Disagree with her comments, not to mention the fact that her "opinion" of God's judgment is entirely irrelevant. That being said, I rather vote for someone with a REAL record of change, and not empty RHETORIC that will find its way to the door if elected. That is why I am supporting John McCain. Obama has proven time after time that he is a person and politician of convinience. It is a very troublesome pattern, that if you really looked at it, and were intellectually honest, there is no other rational conclusion.
Obama is not who he says he is. Obama is what he has done in the past, and I don't like one part of it. But, you all have been taken in by the "Pide Pipper." There is no rational discussion, just empty rhetoric. I fear for our future.
You are not alone in fearing for your future. Consumer sentiment is at a forty year low. The Casey Shiller housing index as a graph looks like an expert ski run: straight down. But did it ever occur to you, that the people to fear, who are not what they say they are, are occupying the White House right now? They ran Congress for six of the last eight years. It is the record of the past, and of Karl Rove running McCain's campaign, to be fearful of.

When Obama wins will Maria accept that it was god's will or again make up some bullshit to suit her idea of god?

Why would the Herald even print such a stupid letter
