Good News: Michael Pizzi is Mayor of Miami Lakes! By Geniusofdespair

Attorney Michael Pizzi was elected Mayor of Miami Lakes. He has been one of the outspoken leaders on the Hold the Line campaign much to the dismay of his enemy, Miami Lakes resident, Vile Natacha Seijas. This could get good. She had better hope that she never has to go before the Miami Lakes Council as they might treat her as rudely as she treats everyone else -- including Pizzi.

Pizzi should make good use of the bully pulpit, we offer our congrats Michael!

Great news, you deserve it or should I say that you have earned it!

Michael has worked hard on issues that are important to the entire county of Miami Dade. Thank you Mayor Pizzi.

Yes! Too bad the voters of Hialeah still cling to VNS.

Even with our economy on a downturn and thousands of empty houses across the Sate, we see Parkland is moving forward this Month, Mayor Pizzi will you help us try to defeate this new development that is proposed outside of the UDB?

Now a mayor, next a county commissioner or Miami-Dade's replacement of disappointing Carlos Alvarez. Congrats Miguelito.

He should replace Natacha as County Commissioner! Good work Pizzi!

Sorry, but, Pizzi as County Mayor, I don't see it. That is not the type we need in that office. Alvarez stinks, but, there are better, more experienced and balanced options out there than often inflamatory Pizzi. That being said, I think he would make an excellent replacement for Natasha when she retires in 2012.

GOOD SHOW MICHAEL PIZZI

Speaking of shows, his radio show is good listening. I like it when he tries to get listeners to bring him food or coffee.

Natacha retiring in 2012? Are you kidding? They'll have to remove her rigid corpse from her commissioner's chair, the only way that we'll get rid of the witch.

Not only did Pizzi beat his opponent but he had to climb the mountain of Vile Natacha and Mayor Turncoat Alvarez. He had to defeat Vile when he ran for Miami Lakes Council last time too. Vile got her chosen candidate big bucks from her developer friends. Did she do it this time too? The people of Miami Lakes are to be congratulated for telling Vile that she will not control their elections with special interest money. Good job Pizzi and fellow voters.

I don't know how Michael Pizzi get's such rave reviews here? The one thing I commend him for is his passion on the UDB, and that's it. Despite the battle between he and Natacha, you must not forget they were once close allies. He wants to do away with code enforcement in Miami Lakes, but let's make a big deal about developers and the UDB. He collected lot's of cash from trash collectors and may have violated the same campaign rules he championed by collecting money from current Town vendors. I think, without totally disrespecting Mayor Wayne Slaton, that Pizzi's election was possible simply as the result of Slaton's lack of leadership and foresight and for waiting till the very last second of qualifying for this race, to drop the ball as he has and announce his intention to no longer run. The decent thing to have done was make that announcement earlier to give anyone else the chance to throw their hat in the race. I guarantee you, someone (not just VNS) will find a way to oust this guy from office whether with dirt or a recall.

Slaton should have given more advanced notice of his intentions instead of leaving his supporters out in the cold!
