Pub, John McCain, has picked Sarah Palin, the governor of Alaska, as his running mate. All I have to say is: "John, have you looked at her hair?"
She is so out of touch with women's hairdos, she will never fly. Sarah is more akin to the women I last reported on with bad hair: The sect ladies of Texas.

From DAILY KOS:
SHE's a young creationist who knows little about politics and is in trouble with the law. He'll take her in -- but can he teach her the ways of Washington before she embarrasses him at the big Telecom Ball?
Now that you mention it, she does have cult hair. It figures she is a creationist.
McCain is loosing his marbles. this looks like a Hail Mary pick. if he wanted to pick a woman he could went with Kay B. Hutchinson, Olympia Snowe, Fiorina.
McCain’s VP Choice Is Under Ethics Investigation For Abuse Of Power In Alaska»
...But Palin’s reformer image took a hit last month when she was accused of attempting to get a state trooper fired. That state trooper was her former brother-in-law who had gone through “a messy divorce” with her sister. After the trooper’s boss wouldn’t act on the governor’s request, she fired him. Though Palin says she doesn’t “have anything to hide” and she “didn’t do anything wrong there,” an investigation has found that one of her aides pushed the firing:
Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday revealed an audio recording that shows an aide pressuring the Public Safety Department to fire a state trooper embroiled in a custody battle with her sister.
Palin, who has previously said her administration didn’t exert pressure to get rid of trooper Mike Wooten, also disclosed that members of her staff had made about two dozen contacts with public safety officials about the trooper.

Palin has balls, and a cute ass. Things BO and JB lack.
yes she has bad hair, but at least she is pretty (a former pageant winner i think) and come on lets be fair alaska is not exactly the best place for fashion and style.
she has many pros:
-she cares about the environment.
-believes people deserve the death penalty especially in the case of wrong doings to children.
-she is a wife and mother of 5 - 1 child with down syndrome.
i cannot wait to learn more about her. she definitely caught my attention.
The fact remains that the election is right around the corner.
She has no fan base in DC or with the general public outside of Alaska.
She could be the best or meanest hockey player in Alaska but that will not help her all that much.
It seems like a pretty desperate move to gain the female vote.
They would have had a better chance selecting Laura Bush or Condi Rice if they really felt a woman was advantageous to the ticket.
But their mistake is that all women in the USA had not planned to vote for Hillary.
And all women would not just vote for another woman because they are the same gender.
I feel that the smart VP choice for the Republicans would have been Mitt Romney.
I now have some hope that the Dems will have a better chance of winning the Presidency.
My dream is that someday the USA moves closer to the middle.
How about a Pres and VP from each party that can see eye to eye on many issues? Now that would be something!

She has 5 kids. Bet she does not believe in birth control; not a champion for woman's rights. Hardly the kind of woman that Hillery supporters will flock to.
She looks stuck in the '60s and reminds me of the bimbo Katherine Harris.
Seems the youth part is just as important as the minority issue. I don't think it works but after W...my faith in people reading through BS is somewhat diminished.
Oh yeah, whoever said she was good on environment - LOL! Wants to drill in ANWR and her husband is an Oil company goon. Wooohoooo - some environmentalist.
"Cares about the environment" ??!! Get a grip!
She believes in drilling for oil everywhere. She's a big proponent of killing wolves and bears from airplanes.
Just because she gave a nod to global warming by agreeing it exists doesn't make her an environmentalist. Well, in Republican circles I guess it does...
What a terrible pick for VP. I think the Hillary supporters - if they truly were supporters - will be insulted by McSame tapping her to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency.
After all the noise they made about Obama not being up to the task, he picks the Mayor of a town the size of Florida City who became Governor of one of the smallest States in the Union just 18 months ago. I wonder how many times she's been to Georgia? Not the Country, the State.
Please do not compare this woman with Katherine Harris. This woman has the nickname Barracuda for a reason. She's tough and has made a lot of inroads in Alaska and will do the same in DC. Leave her looks alone, I think she has a sexy look to her while many of you thought that Natacha's challenger was "easy on the eyes". I think she just looked "easy". The lady gives birth because she is pro-life and does more than many of the Monday morning quarterbacks giving their two cents here. She is a National Reservist, she was a PTA parent who ran for office and held council and mayoral offices. Her oldest son signed up for the Army last September 11th and will be deployed to Iraq this September 11th. Her youngest has Down's Syndrome and she still gave birth knowing the outcome. How many of you have the "balls" to run for office in this or any town in Florida or take on the corrupt politicians in her own party like she did? Maybe you can ask to borrow some of hers.
how can you be anti abortion and believe in the death penalty. at least be consistent
Some people above: Have you ever heard of humor...come on.
She's a WINNAH
Well, she has nice legs. She wears those glasses so she plays down the pretty girl look. The hair, gee, it is part of the school marm look and certainly something most beauty queen can't get away from.
I hate her accent and I think she is whiny voiced. You Tube has some amazing video of her being interviewed. She needed to know what kind of job the VP was.
I just heard of her today about noon, so I don't imagine she will grow on me by Nov 4. I can't believe McCain would take her with her under investigation. She sounds like a nasty lady, with lovely kids.
Her husband is another issue. I cannot see her getting away from BIG OIL and developing alternate forms of clean energy with him around.
I would be really insulted that McCain offered her as a substitute for Hillary. Duh! I would have never guessed McCain thinks conservative/middle line women don't know when they are being snookered.
Pro-Abortion anon, has an infant maliciously killed someone?
I like McCain's move...bring someone in that is not part of the Washington's Old Boys Club and pull down their pants! This woman has more balls than some of the men in the boys club. She's smart and fearless. You go Sarah!
I don't like her.
Pretty is not a consideration for me, in marriage or in elections.
It is great that she has a wonderful family. Lots of us do. But she is definitely going to add fluff to the ticket. And she is under investigation... for goodness sakes. That is going to look bad if she is nailed, or if she isn't how will we know the outcome was not fixed?
Taking a life is not Christian. I am not pro abortion. I don't believe in abortion nor do I believe in the death penalty. We should be consistent. They go together. We are not God. To me, you are cherry picking your morals.
classic case of life imitating "art" - Ms Palin seems to have walked right off the set of the latest Lifetime movie of the week! geezus, is this really America? a heartbeat away from the President? i don't think so.
Death penalty and abortion are totally totally different. Death penalty is for someone who took a life or more, and they pay with theirs. Usually decided by a box of peers(jury) and/or a Judge. Simple. Abortions are different, it is the destruction (killing) of an unborn child. And the woman plays judge, jury, and executioner.
cherry picking...playing God.
So the ten commandments actually says: Thou Shalt Not Kill unless you took a life or more and society should decide this?
So who you gonna vote for last anon?
I am very disappointed by the McCain pick for Vice President. I would have voted for McCain if Romney was the pick for VP. I don't want this woman a heartbeat away from the presidency. I probably won't vote.
Not voting doesn't do anything besides silence yourself.
We don't have a spot on the ballot that says "I don't want to chose", so you have to stay home, or write in a name, or do a protest vote, like 60,191 people did with Alvarez in the recent county election.
No one causes me to stay home from the polls. Too many people in the world can't even make the choice not to go to the polls for me to squander the opportunity to vote.
Speaking of the county elections, what is going to happen to all those blank presidential bubbles pop up on the paper sheets. The scanners count them as undervotes. Is that going to be a crisis in Florida? Why can't we have a "chose NOT to vote" bubble to color in?
let people not vote -- we are better off without some of these...
I agree with GOD. A No vote is better than a yes vote for an incompetent fool. To out of sight---yes Williams got over 60,000 votes but if you look at the races there were 3 black incumbent commissioners facing black opposition. One guess, who do you think those approx 40,000 black voters voted for? Yes Williams. And the rest were a combination of idiots, indifferents, and pissed off voters because of the mega plan and GB. Yep, you can't please everyone all of the time. Alvarez got 66% of the vote and he won. Protest vote---what a stupid thing to do. Can you just imagine if that lady wins? She was TERMINATED from teaching in the school system for incompetence. And people voted for her to be Mayor. Dangerous thing to do.
If you have no other way to vote, you protest vote.
Give the voters an opportunity to show their displeasure with an elected official.Giving up the right to vote is not an option.

Well tat is voting stupid!
