According to reporter Tamara Lush of Miami New Times, Michele Spence-Jones, a runner up in the first Eyeonmiami beauty contest, is facing indictment. State Attorney Investigations include:• The Florida Election Commission is studying whether Spence-Jones improperly paid $24,000 in cash to campaign workers and for other expenses during the 2005 election.
• State prosecutors are looking into whether her campaign improperly accepted $18,000 from the now-defunct Black Business Association, a nonprofit group, to organize a concert while she was an urban affairs advisor for Miami Mayor Manny Diaz.
• Investigators are looking at a $75,000 county grant to the Yellow Moon Salon and Day Spa on NW Seventh Avenue, which is owned by the commissioner's brother, Rick. Part of the money was handed out while Spence-Jones was a city commissioner.
• The state is also studying whether she was paid to vote for a Coconut Grove condo project sponsored by the Related Group. This last one is the biggie folks!
Even though our contest is over and Councilman Scott Galvin was dubbed the Best Looking Office Holder in Miami Dade County, we at Eyeonmiami have decided to disqualify Spence-Jones from the Beauty Contest after the fact, for conduct unbecoming a contestant. Sorry Michele, that "come hither" look will get you just so far. And, a word to the wise Scott Galvin: Stay righteous or we will have to strip you of your title! Here is Galvin's acceptance speech:
I want to personally thank you for selecting me as the winner of the "Best Looking" contest...LOL....this certainly ranks as one of the greatest honors of my political career.
In fact, it might be the only honor....unless I count being selected runner-up of the 2002 Miss North Miami Jaycees contest.
Either way, I will work hard to represent the ideals and traditions that this title represents! Many thanks!

I am proud to say that Scott is my Councilman. I have no worry about his doing anything improper. He may not always say the best thing but he never does anything dishonest.

Donald Trump gave his beauty queen a pardon for her transgressions, why are you more strict then the Donald?
Spence-Jones is being investigated for many offenses.
Amazing she keeps funneling money to her backers. Look up who donated money to her campaign.
We hear Spence-Jones is hard at work trying to get money and approvals for the contributors to her Legal Defense Fund. Spence-Jones is asking businessmen for money for her lawyers who are working to keep her out of jail. Watch who gives her money. Watch what she gives them in return.
How do we find out who is giving money to Spence-Jones?
