South Florida Dance Reunion To Benefit "Citizens To Save Hialeah Park" by Geniusofdespair

On Saturday September 22, The Citizens To Save Hialeah Park along with South Florida veteran promoter Rigo Garcia of 305Disco.com will be hosting a benefit concert & dance event at the famed " 94Th Aero Squadron " restaurant located at 1395 NW 57Th Ave, behind Miami International Airport, along side of Perimeter Rd.

The "legendary" 94th Aero Squadron was once one of S. Florida's top dance clubs and ceased to host dance parties nearly 20 years ago, Squadron makes for the perfect location to host such an event as it's the only location from Miami's Disco music heydays to still be opened. The South Florida Dance Reunion benefit will feature live on stage some of South Florida's top dance music artists as well as special invited guests & Dj's.


The line up includes:
Evelyn Thomas, whose 1984 smash hit single " High Energy " sold well over 10 million copies, Thomas who is to debut a large scale stage play in early 2008 is taking a break from her busy schedule to show her support for this worthy cause while making a rare appearance.

Breezy Beat MC, a pioneer in Miami Latin rap music who enjoyed consecutive chart toppers with " No Money, No Girlfriend ", " Party Time " & " Shake This Joint " will take to the stage to pump things up.

Madelin Marchant ( stage name Madelin Red ) a well known S. Florida actress & acting coach once part of the popular Miami dance group " Prototype " whose club hit " Come back To Me " is still a dance floor favorite, will also be performing through out the night.

Ray Guell, one of South Florida's most recognized Freestyle / Dance music names and voice, who found fame across the globe with his hits " Just Another Lover " & " You Took My Heart " will be performing all his classic hits as well as debuting his new soon to be released single " Love Is The Answer ".

Connie, the Hialeah native who is considered to be one of the early pioneers of the Freestyle music sound, took dance floors and air waves by storm with " Funky Little Beat ", one of the most well known classic Freestyle songs that is still being played across dance floors and radio today.

Headlining the event is Secret Society, who are considered to be Miami's all time Dance music group whom found success with 9 national chart topping hits, after a long and much anticipated reunion, Secret Society reunites and will take center stage to perform all their classic Dance hits " You Said You Loved Me ", " Find Yourself ", " We Belong Together " their chart topping ballad " Too Blind To See " and more.

Mega producer for the record breaking ( Miami ) Pop female trio " Expose " and former Limelight DJ, Lewis Martinee along with other guests DJ's will be spinning the best in Disco, Dance & Freestyle tunes.

THIS IS FANTASTIC!! "Freestyle" is the last of the great classic music styles. And what a great cause! My thanks to all these great artists that will give their time and talent. They understand the link between Hialeah Park and S. Florida's unique musical journey.
