Annoying People with Cell Phones at the Carnival Performing Arts Center by Geniusofdespair

I took this photo at the Carnival Center. This is what it looks like to have one cell phone in the audience (Hit read more).

Imagine how distracting it is when you have 20 at a time trying to take pictures with their phones over their heads during the perfomance. That was my experience at a recent Gilberto Gil concert.

People... First: You are not suppose to be taking pictures. Second: They are not going to come out. Third: you are distracting/bothering others in the audience.

P.S. This also happened on a smaller scale at The Actors' Playhouse in Coral Gables during a performance of La Cage Aux Folle. A woman seemed to be recording with her cellphone everytime a song came on.

We are definitely surrounded by idiots, people don't care and they certainly don't listen...They take pictures and movies at these events and their gd cell phones ring all the time...we should really stick these cell phones up their you know what.

Wait a minute. "Genius" takes this photo at the Carnival Center, and then complains that people are taking photos at the Carnival Center. I see why "despair" is part of his/her name ...

I was there for "Swan Lake" and as intermission ended, I saw a nasty war of words break out between two overdressed women in the first row of the second balcony.
"Get out of here!" yelled the older dragon.
"Don't tell me to get out of here!" shrieked the younger.
Her basso companion yelled from the aisle, "I'm the bad guy in this, folks." Yes, he was, if he paid for those mismatched lips she was sporting. Shoulda taken her to a real doctor, pal.
Life in Miami.

I took my photo BEFORE THE performance started to illustrate my point. People were finding their seats at the time this was taken and the lights were on.

I WOULD NEVER PHOTOGRAPH DURING A PERFORMANCE.
