Grove Bay Residence/Mercy Hospital Update by Genius of Despair

Commissioner Carlos Gimenez's Resolution File No. 070290, asking the county attorney to look into the impacts to Vizcaya by the 3 proposed Grove Bay Residence towers at Mercy Hospital site, has been tabled until Thursday. Don't know the details.

I wonder if Miami-Dade County planners will be honest enough to admit the Related/Mercy 1.2 Mil sq ft luxury condo mega city proposed single family neighborhood killer will be too massive for the existing County sewer and water and traffic capacity? Guess what folks? WE do not have enough sewer and water and traffic capacity to handle the expected onslaught. Vote to deny the rezoning.

sure we have capacity.... Our water wells are suddenly clean again, the 18+ million dollar sewer/water plant is being rebuilt on the black creek canal, Mount Trashmore has endless space for plastics and other urban caca and who cares about the traffic, we like spending 3 hours a day to get to work and home... I love 12 hour work days.

Why don't we try to control the current messes before creating more? I go past that site for work... it is my alternate to nasty US 1... I at least suffer in green areas of traffic. But, it sounds like it is going to be impossible... although, do people who live in places like that have to drive in rush hour?

The National Parks have criteria for determining "Viewscape" and "Soundscape"intrusion into their areas... Should we have less requirements?

Why are the Related people so eager to ruin S. Bayshore Drive?

It seems like Mercy should just maintain its existing zoning.

Well obviously Related, and Jorge Perez, and the lawyers and the greedy neighborhood groups all stand to make a fortune selling condos. Obviously, they do not give a crap for the Grove.
