Under Trump, regulatory "relief" benefiting corporations is incinerating seventy five years of efforts to protect our environment ... by gimleteye

Trump's has already been the most chaotic, #unhinged presidency in history except in one respect. His top appointees -- like EPA head Scott Pruitt -- are working in concert with the GOP's top campaign contributors like the Koch Brothers to eliminate "job-killing" regulations that protect our air and water and natural habitats as a matter of federal responsibility.

If the states were capable of doing the business of protecting the public interest, why do you think public interest organizations protecting the environment would have invested so much time and energy at the federal level? It is precisely because the states are incapable that Americans have placed trust in federal national parks, in federal wildlife refuges, in federal laws to protect the air and water and against the existential threat of climate change.
