Both Coasts of Florida Are Up In Arms over Lake Okeechobee Toxic Water Releases!!! By Geniusofdespair

In Fort Myers on the West Coast they are protesting the Lake Okeechobee water releases. John Heim of Southwest Florida Clean Water Movement said:
"People here today realize that we're 100 percent tourism-based as a community and an economy, and they're up here basically voicing their opinions and fighting for their lives, quite honestly. They know without clean water, we'll lose our billion dollar tourism industry,"

Meanwhile in Stuart on the East Coast, The Martin County Board of County Commissioners has called an emergency meeting to discuss water conditions in the St. Lucie River and other local water bodies. The meeting is today.

Later: There was a packed house at the Stuart Meeting, with  people standing outside the chambers. Thank you Ken and Adam for the photos.

YES, this is water!

Have you ever seen water like this? Photo from Video by Balance for Earth

My girlfriend in Port St. Lucie County said her daughters were signed up for Surf Camp but it was cancelled due to the ocean beaches ALSO now being covered in toxic slime, miles from the inlet where Lake Okeechobee is dumping. Her husband Adam Locke is running for St. Lucie County Property Appraiser. We need a good Property Appraiser there, what do you think is going to happen to property values?

What does the water in the governors backyard look like? I can't believe his house isn't on the water...

It is on the water. On the Coast of Naples. A lot more flushing going on on the West Coast.

The dumping of Lake O into our estuaries is killing off all sea life, killing businesses and killing our real estate values and our tax base.
If this is making you mad and you want to do something about it, it's time to pick candidates that will not support this destruction.
Your support for clean water candidates is essential in stopping the flow of dirty politics/water into our estuaries.

Adam Locke is running for Property Appraiser of St. Lucie County because every office at every level matters. The current Property Appraiser is the paid lobbyist of BIG SUGAR and his opponent is his hand picked crony. He takes Big Sugar money and then donates to her campaign. The only way we are going to win this epic battle is with your vote on August 30th for anti-sugar candidates at every level.. Every vote matters!

So if you want a different result, you need to vote differently. Electing sugar shills, like Matt Caldwell, based on party line voting has not worked. Transcend party politics and unite on this issue. ‪#‎BuyTheLand‬ ‪#‎SendCleanWaterSouth‬ http://votejohnscott.com
