The County Doesn't Make it Easy for the PBA. By Geniusofdespair

Here is how the County reimbursed those that took a health insurance cut during the hard times, the County was forced to pay them back (I believe it was court ordered) - this is a PBA Memo to members:

Subject: 10% Health Insurance Premium ULP Reimbursement

UPDATE:  In typical County fashion, they have taken something simple and made it complicated. Apparently, taking the money illegally was a far easier process than giving it back:
We have been advised that whomever is entitled to a reimbursement SHOULD be receiving it on the April 15 paychecks cycle (Friday). Remember, anyone who paid dependent premiums for calendar year 2015 should be receiving a reimbursement.

We are being told that since this is a one-time special payment, it will not be included in your normal paycheck calculation and it will not be displayed on eNet. You should receive the paper stubs to show the amount that has been deposited into your accounts, or receive a live check for the reimbursement if you don’t have direct deposit by FRIDAY.  That amount is reflecting on your normal paystub as a negative in the year to date- it shows as “PBA INS PR” and you should receive that amount separately, minus taxes. The interest on that amount is reflecting separately as a positive “PBA INTERE” in the money adjustment description, year to date, portion of your pay stub.
In short, you should receive premiums paid, minus taxes, plus interest. And, of course, the County did not provide an explanation to those affected prior to posting confusing information.

To summarize, you will be reimbursed the monies (plus interest) that Mayor Gimenez illegally took from you.

Gimenez can't manage his way out of a wet paper bag, how do we expect him to manage the county affairs properly.

Well said Anonymous! If we look at all the blunders that Gimenez himself made, one has to wonder why this character has not been recalled yet.
And didn't suspend Jennifer Moon for a mistake made in some Herald advertising? Made her pay for the re-announcement too?
then using his own philosophy, why isn't he paying for this improper violation out of his own pocket, and suspend himself!

Narcissism has many signals. Gimenez displays them all but in the end he is a very insecure man, who should listen to advice, rather than giving opinions

Well said. this community is tired of "Carlos" screwing up our county. its not only time for a "Raquel", but a woman to take over and fix things.

Now comes the big question... Will all the affected employees receive this, or will each union be force to sue the County individually tying up the County Attorney's Office and wasting more resources?
