Lynda Bell and Mark Bell's Hotel is Sold. By Geniusofdespair
Former County Commission (former Homestead Mayor) Lynda Bell and her husband sold their historic hotel in Homestead - The Redland Inn. It was originally listed for $1.2 million. Her husband paid $250,000 in 2012 with a mortgage from a company owned by John Dubois, Vice Mayor of Palmetto Bay.
How they got so much for it is beyond me. RM LLC from Pembroke Pines bought it, It sold for $950,000. The Pembroke Pines address on the deed pulls up Trevor Davis and Arelys Catena. The Corporation name pulls up a Coral Gables address of a house owned by Regina Fuertes.

city just voted to give a lower rate to historic buildings on utilities... nice timing for the new owners.
Hey that will be good. I would never go eat there when I was visiting Homestead because she owned it. Now I can :)
Meanwhile speaking of flip flops the Bells are now one percenters and Steve Bateman has filed for indigent benefits on his appeal.
I wonder how much John Dubois made of his short mortgage. It was all interest. Nice work when you can find it.
Almost all LLC sales are going for above professional appraised valuations Anyone care to hint at the investment scam that is going on in the county? I'm seeing block after block of condominium sales in rundown buildings in Miami Beach which are now selling for near bubble prices.
FBI, FBI, FBI.
John Dubois slept there. Would you?
No i would not. I saw a video of the rooms that was enough.
Now Ma and Mark-in-the-dark Bell can get that nice double wide stocked with a bunch of Pabst Blue Ribbon! Hillbilly's rule, y'all!
