The Miami Dade county Planning and Zoning Board hearing on Applications Nos. 7, 8 and 9 is this Monday at 10:30am.

Tropical Audubon is opposing Applications Nos. 8 and 7 along with 30 other groups, saying: "The proposed development would have serious environmental consequences for the Everglades, our national parks, and our water supply in Miami-Dade County. There is currently enough land within the UDB to sustain residential, commercial and industrial demand. Expansion of the UDB is unwarranted."

They said: "We also urge you to show support for Application No. 9. This is the proposal for the Ludlam Trail, which would bring more green space to our communities."
