The Police: No Matter What You Think This Will Touch Your Heart. By Geniusofdespair

It touched my cold icy heart so unless you are colder than me, you should be inspired too. I made this video because The presentation in the  cold, cavernous county lobby represented a police officers life and death.

(don't see video? hit here)

The Miami Dade County PBA each year puts up a memorial to their fallen in the lobby of County Hall. They have a T Shirt with the name of each police officer that has died in the line of duty. It goes up around contract talk time, people forget what a dangerous job this is. Their memorial inspired me to do this video. NOW WATCH THE DAMN VIDEO, IT TOOK ME A LONG TIME TO DO BECAUSE THEY SPREAD IT OUT ALL OVER THE LOBBY. IT IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES OUT OF YOUR TIME TO WATCH IT.

As someone who loves a police officer, this scares me so much... It is a reminder of how delicate of a thread my life hangs on.

Thank you, dear friend.

At least 3 of those officers I knew from south dade. Each of those shirts represents a family destroyed, a squad devastated, a police department in shock, a neighborhood of an officer saddened and most of all, a community which lost a protector: an officer who cared to others first.

Always tell your officers Be Safe, God Bless and never, ever let them leave you without one more I love you.

Genius: I knew 5 of these wonderful souls. May they all rest in peace.
Thank You for reminding us of the importance of life. Outstanding exhibit. This exhibit should travel throughout every city in Dade County so that the citizens can see it.

While I am grateful for the service of these officers, I am also cognizant that many other service occupations are more dangerous than law enforcement officer. Everyone who dies providing a necessary service to us should be honored but only soldiers and police officers and firefighters seem to get the fanfare. Being a police officer is statistically only the 15th most hazardous job. When we continually set up one group of people as making the biggest sacrifice to our society, it diminishes the others who get no honors, no fanfare, no benefits to their survivors, no comfortable pension after many long years of service. Many workers in America, with more hazardous jobs, provide very important and necessary benefits and services to our society, I would like to see them and their survivors get the same benefits as police officers and firefighters.

Well put up a memorial exhibition to some of these other dangerous jobs and I will do a video.
