We got two cars over the weekend. Because of all the money promised to Marco Rubio, we could not in good conscience buy them from auto tycoon Norman Braman even though they are both a make and model his dealership sells. Thank you Skylar at Lehman Autoworld.

Thank you for sticking to your ideals on boycotting.
I'm doing the same by boycotting the new Biscayne Brewing Company craft beer (the owner ran Rubio Senate campaign and now is an advisor for Jeb's Right to Rise PAC).
I would not buy a car, bicycle, scooter or tricycle from Braman.
Using your logic I will have to buy a Chinese bicycle from Cuba, because most car dealers contribute to one either Donkey or Pachyderm piles of manure that can actually speak.
I have no logic so who the hell are you to use it and distort my thinking process? I go by gut when I shop, no Coors, no Vanity Fair dinner sized napkins and no Braman autos.
I wanted to buy a car from Braman when I was happy with something he had come out against that I agreed with and lately, with his unexplainable love for Rubio have crossed him off my car dealership list.
Forget logic, I like to think of it as Great Minds Thinking Alike!
Norman Braman is also storing his inventory on Watson Island where we should have a park. Shame on him.
Interestingly enough I stopped buying cars from Norman Braman in 2012 after he poured a big chunk of change into Carlos Gimenez's campaign and subsequently directed his auto dealer buddies to do the same. I also remember Braman twisting the arm of The Miami Herald and having Michael Putney, Miriam Marquez, Bernadette Pardo, etc., write glorious articles about Gimenez under threat to pull out his car dealership advertisement unless the paper went with the flow.
A lot has happened since then. Many county employees have lost their jobs while trying to stand up to Gimenez. Gimenez himself utilized the relationship with Braman to build a $3 million reelection PAC making it almost impossible for any citizen to oppose him in 2016. So, for the next five years, prepare yourselves to continue to lose green spaces, Vizcaya, Crandon Park Golf Course, libraries, having county departments given away to private industry, having MDX continue to raise our tolls and steal our public lanes with hefty $8.00 access fees. All compliments of the Braman-Gimenez alliance. Glad you have finally joined us in exposing Braman. Perhaps the loss of car sales will soon force him to support a civic minded candidate who can send Gimenez packing.
He does not need to support anyone, he should support public transportation funding.
Hmm, last anon., me thinks an auto dealer supporting public transit is a lead up to the sentence ending with " when hell freezes over "
I think you guys have it wrong. Mr. Braman's support of Rubio creates a speed bump for Jeb "The Smart One" Bush's aspirations. If you love America, which of course we all do, keeping Jeb out of the White House should be Job 1. On Big Sugar, off topic, only when big sugar is placed on a par with big tobacco for its devastating effect on public health, and then forced to begin paying for it will the influence diminish. Ellis Rubin was actually heading there with the "Twinkie" defense, way back when, but sugar is a killer not just of wetlands. BTW Learned a lot from your piece on Art Teele, I think you should write about another Herald victim, Joe Carollo.
