The first day back in the Mayor's Chair after more than a 2 year legal ordeal. You should become a Democrat Michael. The Republicans treated you like shit and weren't your legal teammates all Dems? Italians should not be Republican anyway. |
I think a meatball and spaghetti celebration gala is in order, don't you? I will bring a fork. I can just see all the spaghetti and meatball platters around the Town Fountain. It would be glorious!

While youre at it... Buy him a freaking new suit genius. One that fits.
Can't wait to find out how the resident's feel after they get Pizzi's legal bills, which will make the bills Miami Lakes has already paid look like chump change. All the grease in Pizzi's hair in this photo is more appropriate than ever!
Very smug. He looks like someone who knows he got away with it.
I do not think Michael looks smug. He looks happy and releived. This is not a talk trash post.
Pizzi stood up to former Miami-Dade Commissioner Natacha Seijas. I hope to see continuous actions to cleanup the region by him and others.
Genius, after reading your blogs for years, I cannot believe you are supportive of Pizzi. His bribery arrest is shameful and decent citizens do not want to be associated with such an individual. You should see Pizzi walking around Miami Lakes bragging about how he "is back" in an intimidating fashion. You are right, this is not a "talk trash" blog but if you believe Pizzi is the answer to corruption, graft and bad government then there is no logical sense to come back and read your blog. Let's see how democratic you are. We'll know if you move to erase this non trash response.
Your response is trashable. Pizzi was not proven guilty. You hold a grudge. I do not. I talk to Terry Murphy (Natacha Seijas') former Chief of staff. I have forgiven Audrey Edmonson for having been one of the former unrefomable majority. Hold your nose and respect the law.
Redemption will only come if Mr. Pizzi changes his behavior not from a Not Guilty verdict from a jury that had to go beyond a reasonable doubt to convict. Don't get me wrong I am a strong defender of rights of the accused and that includes Pizzi.
BUT elected officials are and should be held to a higher standard. All the explaining away or double talk won't erase that fact that Mr Pizzi stepped into a dark closet with a lobbyist in order to accept $3,000 IN CASH inside an envelope.
The voters of Miami Lakes when casting their ballots can decide without being held to "without a reasonable doubt" standard.
His recent behavior does not give me much hope of a real change in Mr. Pizzi, but I guess some hope is better than none.
Residents are waiting for Audrey Edmonson to get the asphalt removed from Parcel B. Yup, promoters from a failed 60 minute car race ruined Parcel B.
