Normally the visit to the Everglades is a dog and pony media event. This time the visit wasn't even on the White House daily calendar today. Interesting.

I enjoyed the presentation Sunday by Matt Schwartz of Florida Wildlands at the Friends of the Everglades Annual Meeting. He showed how the Everglades and Big Cypress are being threatened environmentally by oil fracking companies and Florida Power and Light'd prpposed two new nuclear reactors at Turkey Point

So Obama celebrates Earth Day by speaking Martian as he burns 9,100 gallons of jet fuel and ISIS burns and beheads Christians. When is he leaving office so we can actually solve problems and not keep creating them with empty rhetoric?

I noticed an important part of our community was left out of the Presidents' visit. The residents of the Everglades National Park. Who? The Native Americans (Miccousuke and Seminoles). Secretary of the Interior should have been with President Obama. Just a thought/suggestion.

You're right. The president did look preoccupied, like there were a million other places he'd rather be. So far as the haters are concerned, you were happier with Dick Cheney and George W. Bush?
