Gimenez is not fundraising...yet....what I mean is, he is out there ASKING but it is not showing up anywhere. I don't think that is legal --- asking for money without a campaign account open but I have many accounts of him being out there raising dough. Of course our friends at ethics won't care. If he is raising for his PAC it might be legal -- still stinks.
He hasn't opened a campaign account (only School Board Member Martin Karp has a 2016 account) but word has it there is a new PAC helping Gimenez. It might be collecting but it hasn't reported. It is called Miami-Dade Residents First. It was formed January 5th. Joaquin Urquiola is the treasurer. Rick Cook is the Chairperson. Both are the same as the officers of his ECO Common Sense Now. Rick Cook is from Palmetto Bay. He supported Peter England. I think he was the Fire Rescue Chief in Coral Gables according to minutes of a Palmetto Bay meeting. He might be connected with Bobby Brown. He is a supporter of Palmetto Bay Village Voice was a trustee.
Carlos Gimenez's ECO Common Sense Now did a poll August 19th and paid Dario Moreno $3,000. In February 2014 Moreno did a lot of polling. In October there was $4,560 that went to Roig Lawyers for legal. The Eco looks to be closing out, no fundraising going on. There were 3 expenses in December for about $3,000 each to The Stoneridge Group, LLC (mailer), BYG Strategies (consulting) and Goldstein Schechter Koch (accounting). What about mailing that Christmas Postcard? That should be forthcoming somewhere. Anyone remember who paid for it (at the bottom of card).

Blurring the lines now Carlos? Low blow.
Did Gimenez put residents first when he gutted the public libraries? When he dismantled the Department of Environmental Resource Management?
And they call it puppy love...
He should open up a campaign account and be done with it, we all know he's running.
According to the Miami Herald,
"In the interview, Gimenez said he would detail his reelection message once he launches his campaign. “It’s competency. It’s honesty. It’s transparency,” Gimenez said. “And it’s moving Miami-Dade County forward.”
What total bullshit.
Raquel Regalado fired a shot across the how today at the school board meeting. She made it a point to bring up the animal trust issue and had Michael Rosenberg speak. Gimenez is a republican tool as is the Sarnoff "dynasty". Hopefully the voters will show up in the next election.
bow, not how. Autocorrect incorrection.
I wish the man would go find an island and live on it. I really don't want him making any more transparent and helpful decisions for my life and family.
The name reeks of audacity and smugness. There's a late night office meeting with suits just throwing words together until they make apple pie with the underlying message "the jokes on you, you stupid public."
Wow, that photo is akin to Dr. Evil and his pet cat. Only sheep would ever vote for this lobby crazy mayor.
Is Gimenez the Florida republican version of New York city's Mayor?
Is build 305 referring to the area code?
What if you are in area code 786?
Are you out of luck in the county?
