Please try to attend to honor these worthy people who get an orchid and see who gets the onion for being a general pain in the ass. All are welcome to this event.

Please don't tell me that Willie Logan is now referring to himself as "Dr." with that Florida Memorial College Honorary Doctorate Degree.
The Urban Environment League is a great organization. Greg Bush deserves our respect. Daniela Cava and Audrey Edmunson attended. Tomas Regalado was traveling...
There was a lot of talk at last night's about Climate Change and affecting policy and planning now to deal with inevitable fall out within a generation of its impact. UEL could lead the charge by holding govt officials and planning agencies accountable when Climate Change impacts are NOT considered, as they really haven't been. Examples: putting museums and stadiums on waterfront land and barrier islands, building expressways and housing (and the Youth Fair) outside the UDB, etc....Miami like other low-lying and vulnerable places on earth is beyond adaptation and resilience - we just need to retrench and keep more public investment out of harm's way. And save our money for protecting essential services like water and sewer services.
When your house goes into the Atlantic Ocean does flood insurance cover it? Some other program? Or is it just going to be a total loss for the property owner and whoever owns the mortgage?

Leave Willie be.
Anyone who wants to be referred to as a Dr. with only an honorary degree needs to be called out every time.
It was the invitation designer who made the decision.
gimenez is definitely an onion
Sorry I will miss this.
Billboard salesman Marc Sarnoff deserves an onion. For pushing his secret wifey to assume his seat he deserves two onions.

Lots of speakers mentioned Climate Change. UEL should take this on- keeping policies and planning in line to prepare for its impact in Miami.
Who got the Onions?

UEL has been fighting to get Parcel B opened to the public as open green space.
