Looks like Castillo's sleazy tactics don't work any more (such as the guys posing as cops at the precincts with black shirts on saying they were Lynda Bell Supporters even though the police officially backed Daniella Levine Cava and the "Blame Marlins Fiasco" on Daniella Levine Cava. Like she made any of the decisions on the Marlin's deal....not.)
The Absentee ballots were watched pretty closely but he did manage a 500 vote surplus on them.

I am not sure the campaign manager made all that money. Some suspect that much of that campaign money was actually being funneled back to the candidate herself.
Hopefully we'll see him behind bars soon.

Despite what you may think, Jose Luis Castillo would have to be GOD to win the race for Lynda Bell.
She lost the race herself, and I would not hesitate to say that, thinking she knows it all, she probably got in the way of anything Castillo or any other person would suggest she do.
She lost it on her own and no amount of help or advice could make the outcome be otherwise.
The good news is, She's gone and that's all that counts.

Castillo is a bully. He was a bully when he managed Mark Bell's campaign and he was one while with Lynda's. Interesting tidbit: #34 on the AB workers' list is his wife: Lourdes Alard (they conveniently left out Castillo). Wonder what she'll do now that Lynda is gone. After all, Lourdes was Lynda's District Director.

Sometimes Jose Castillo works out in the open as Green Point Group, other times he works behind the scene funneling money. Either way he fights dirty then expects a payout in the end.

I too heard Peggy Bell is using Castillo and that Peggy supported Lynda. Bells of a feather, flock together. Now that Lynda's lost, Peggy has no more use for her and will kick her to the curb and try to squirm her way into Cava's graces.

Thanks JL for loosing the Lynda Bell race we are all much better off. He is really not very good at what he does. He runs a primitive organization and thinks very highly of himself. Candidate Art Nanni had been meeting with Lynda Bell and supporting her behind the scenes. What can I say, he was always committed to doing whatever it takes to win. Too bad for Art Nanni that Lynda lost (he will too)!!!

Peggy Bell not only supported Lynda but when local volunteers repeatedly asked Peggy to help Daniella with her campaign, Peggy Bell said no. Now that Daniella has won Peggy is trying to pretend she supported her from the start.

It is understandable that Council member Peggy Bell could not volunteer to help another campaign as she is a full time council member for the Town of Cutler Bay AND...is kind of busy fighting the dishonesty of Art Nanni's campaign.

Art Nanni has lived in the Cutler Bay area for 55 years and was a public servant and involved long before Peggy Bell ever arrived.
Peggy Bell is using Lynda Bell's campaign manager, Jose Castillo, to help her get elected. She has confirmed it. He has confirmed it.
Castillo is a lobbyist and is currently registered as such in Cutler Bay. So while he's working on Peggy Bell's campaign, he's being paid to convince her to vote in favor of a zoning change.
This zoning change is to allow for increased density and commercial use on Old Cutler Road at 184th Street. Property that is adjacent to wetlands in the process of being restored.
So voters, unless you want the notorious Jose Castillo calling the shots in Cutler Bay, vote for Art Nanni for Mayor.
