March 29th, 2014:
Constitution (paid $8.60 to win), in his first race against graded stakes company, snuck through along the rail and edged out pacesetter Wildcat Red at the wire to win the Grade 1 Florida Derby and lock up a place in the 2014 Kentucky Derby. General a Rod finished third while Cairo Prince, the 6/5 favorite at post time, finished a very disappointing fourth.
I bet on the last horse limping across the finish line.
All the ladies were wearing big hats, they thought they were in England I guess. This is a picture of the riffraff (remember I am here), no big hats.
The winner Constitution before the race. |
My Favorite, unfortunately a loser, but mottled beautifully. |
