All the Lobbyists know, now the public does too. These are the people helping to choose the engineering company to do the $1.6 billion dollar contract on Virginia Key. It is being rebid because of some irregularities, with the selection committee being contacted, I reported on previously....

Wisler Pierre-Louis, P.E. is city engineer of the city of North Miami. I hope he is not also the promoter who is a computer engineer. Probably related? I hope.

Gaspar Miranda is a complete moron, he never speaks in public because he barely speaks English. He is also blatantly discriminatory toward female subordinates.

Even if those institutions netted any profits, we'd never see a dime (example Miami Heat)!
I've never known a major project in Miami to come in on time and in line with their budget.........Welcome to Miami! The "world class city" comparable to Havana with their politics.

It may cost a lot more than that. Remember it all depends on the multiplier and the actual time it takes to do tasks. If the time estimates are very low to begin with, then bingo, lots more money.
The instructions are interesting: the Mayoral Advisory Committee will review "any supplemental information received to date and any new information the firms wish to provide to the committee for consideration." This wipes out the problem of the "extra" information that was delivered after the bids were due, and it opens the door for new information, allowing firms to essentially revise their entire bid packages for this round. Very clever, Mr. Mayor.
Most importantly, not only can new information be provided, but included in the new information, new players or subcontractors can become a part of the package and introduced as a part of the effort.
Well, they have the court and all these federal agencies looking over their shoulders. I hope they are not crazy enough to do something silly.
