Jose Javier Rodriguez has raised $42,065.48 for his 2014 campaign between February and September 12th. Walt Disney gave him money so did Ron Book, Seiu, Bob Levy and the Bramans. He is running again as State Rep. in District 112.

Agree 100 percent. You can always gauge the strength of a Democrat by the resistance thrown up by the radical right.
Why not embrace Republicans like myself who support smart, common-sensical Democrats like JJR rather than constantly demonizing us? I think that there are plenty of similar candidates on both sides of the aisle that deserve all our support and the more we work together, the greater likelihood these types of candidates can win.
What is wrong with the candidate in office ? Why do you have to run someone against him? Besides I don't demonize all Republicans. I am one.
Jose Javier is doing a very fine job representing Miami. He's raising the bar on the type of folks we should have in statewide office...intelligent, with common sense and good judgement. This guy is the real deal. From a Peace Corps volunteer to a Legal Aid lawyer, talk about rolling up your sleeves and giving back. His opponent is exactly like the rest, and worse, he's a lobbyist. Daniel is raising his war chest because that's all he can do & the Republicans are scared of someone like Jose Javier moving up fast...and he will.
Jose won against Alex Diaz de la Portilla, that was a major upset for the Republicans. They're trying to come back strong. Unfortunately, throwing in a lobbyist like Daniel isn't the best strategy.

No offense but he did not have any of his bills passed this last session. What is so great? And I am a democrat...
Dan Gelber had the same problem. What do you expect with a hostile house?
Actually, Jose had 2 bills passed. Not bad for a freshman.
He's a good, honest dude, I knew him personally before his days in office.
Jose appears to be at least 20 years older than his girlfriend.
Jose Javier is a source of great pride to all Hispanic Democrats, especially Cuban Democrats.
