I know you guys think that because Ross Hancock put up a darn good showing, that Fresen is vulnerable. But in a year without the Obama for America machine turning out the Dem voters, she doesn't stand a chance.

I'm sure Ross is a good guy, but w/o the Dem turnout for the president, he wouldn't have been within 20 points.

I thought Fresen was termed out. Seems like he's been there forever.

Daisy is a great candidate who will work for for the betterment of her constituents and Miami-Dade County. It is time to have responsive and intelligent representatives in our municipalities, county commission, Tallahassee and DC. Let's clean house!!!!

Alleluia!!! This Coral Gables Republican always votes ABF (Anybody But Fresen).

I think non Tea Party GOPer's want Rick Scott out. They're either not going to show up or vote for anyone but him. Add to that the Independents who have been alienated by both parties. The Obama machine worked well in 2012. The Dem's have worked even harder to keep the spirit alive instead of squandering it away like the GOP keeps doing. This lady has a very good chance. However, if the AB issues are not addressed, Fresen will win not by the popular vote, but by the AB people who are not in jail and should be. PS: Thanks KFR for not doing anything about this while literally wiping out the corruption unit as a whole. Fine job protecting the status quo when we should be able to hold BCC meetings in Jail like Palm Beach County probably does! It's not like you don't have laws to begin with. Letting the statutes run out seems to work for her.

Off topic but to the last commenter's point. In the near future the corruption unit will be revealed to have been corrupt.
Giving the head's up to more than one politician and insider has been a common thread of the corruption unit. The cases in Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties have far outweighed the cases in Miami Dade county for a number of years.
The FBI oversight brings federal charges which will ruin the lives of crooked officials and sworn officers.

Ok, so someone is running against Fresen. Who's running against Bell?

Anonymous said...

Good question anon above. We need a strong candidate to run against Bell. What happened to Annette Tadeo(sp)?

Anonymous said...

Bell redistricted Taddao (sp too!) out of Dist. 8.

Interesting, good way to eliminate competition. Bell has it all figured out.

Erik Fresen was a stooge for Genting and other casino companies. Please. Anyone but Fresen.

Some may think that because Ross Hancock got close in 2012 that Daisy does not stand a chance this year. Aside from the fact that Daisy is a lovely person, a woman, and an immigrant, the Democratic party is in full "Remove RICK SCOTT" mode. It may not be a presidential year, but I bet Democrats will show up to the polls this time around. For Daisy, for local Democrats, and to unseat Scott.
