Mayor Gimenez Holds Fundraiser for Lynda Bell. By Geniusofdespair

Brian? Is that you?

Got this email from Brian Goldmeir - ICK, the Mayor is such a disappointment:

I hope you are having a great Friday Afternoon!  I wanted to let you know about a fundraiser that Mayor Carlos Gimenez will be hosting for his Friend & Colleague Vice-Chair of the Miami-Dade Commission Lynda Bell to help her kickoff her re-election campaign.

The event will be at the home of Ralph & Vicky Garcia-Toledo on Wednesday, May 1st from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

Just so you know it is not too late to join the Host Committee!

Sounds like a whose who of Lobbyists. She can raise all the money in the world, and I predict she will have $700,000 to $800,000 because she is a reliable a bad votes on just about everything.  This event is being held after her famous luncheon for those over 55.

I would never vote for her. But then I don't have the choice, thankfully I don't live in the district.

Thank you for ruining my weekend. I can't believe I voted for him.

The mayor should remember that the Democrats put him in office and they can take him out. He ran as the more moderate but he is turning into a right wing fanatic.

I guess you used google image. That is Brian

Wow! That host comittee reads like a "who's who" of Miami's biggest thieving scumbags! You are who you hang with, Ms. Bell!

Vicky, who is 18 years older than Ralph,
is the mother of another big-time lobbyist, Chris Moya. All were big Obama supporters. Freddie Balsera is the Democratic Party spokesperson for the Hispanic community. Most of the names on that list are major Dem fundraisers.

Makes you want to puke doesn't it.

Noticed Trailer Trash Bell's usin' the "G" now...Greed? Guilty?

Is that a phallus next to "Lynda"?

Money will not matter in this reelection of Mrs. Bell. The voters will make the difference by voting on issues that have not been in their best interest. We have seen in recent elections that money did not help.
We are glad to see her supporters coming out early. I am sure her BCC will be supporting her. Mr. Gimenez and the others listed on this invite--Mrs. Bell has turned against other supporters and will turn against you. Just wait you will feel her wrath. First time you disagree with her on an issue.
Which of the host supporters live in her district?? Let's follow the money.

Sylvester Lukis? Another long time lobbyist. Vicky Garcia-Toledo? Ick.

Toledo was mayor's chief fund raiser and his wife is a Genting lobbyist.

Yes, that is a phallus next to "Lynda."

In ancient Rome, a tintinnabulum was a bronze wind chime of a male figure adorned with multiple phalluses with a bell hanging from the tip of each phallus. The popular tintinnabulum was thought to ward off evil and bring good fortune.

Savor the image. Our District 8 Commissioner is a bell hanging from the end of a phallus.

Gimenez must have a really bad PR person. There's no way he can gloss over this or try to like he did with the Redland dump mess in district 8. I'd suggest unincorporated South Dade, Redland especially, incorporate now because there's a clear pattern of further destruction going on with the LBA, which Gimenez also supports. Moss is in his own world trying to gerrymander what's left of the african american vote in South Dade, look at the redistricting maps posted earlier this week on this blog! District 8 is totally screwed at the County level. This is just reinforcing what we down here already knew with Gimenez. He's no friend to this area south of Cutler Bay, never has been. He voted Yes to approved Krome Gold as I just commented in one of your other blog posts. This means he also approves all that US Century mess, like Baretto, who is at the forefront of the Dolphins taxpayer give away because millions of dollars are in fact being taken away from us taxpayers here on one of the two issues the Dolphins have playing in Tallahassee.

Gimenez suck, at least the rest of the County knows it if hey didn't before. Bell needs to get re elected by voters. She's not looking at the age or party or someone is giving her crappy advise. She's not running polls. This District is Democrat. It's not a big Tea Party victory dance or is it going to be. She may have conned the commission, she conned the voters in Homestead for a few years. The good thing is it wears quickly when her antics catch up with her and a real opponent challenges her. I hope the same for Gimenez too after this dance party.

Or a pair hanging from a sack attached to the trailer hitch of a pick-up truck.

Carlos Gimenez has been an incredible disappointment.
The dude took so much money from special interests he can't take a crap without permission. The guy won on an anti-Marlins scam platform and now he does a deal to give more taxpayer money to a billionaire, the New Yorker Steve Ross. Another bailout for a billionaire?

Gimenez has a pitiful record in District 8 and on Ag issues so him supporting Bell should be a surprise to no one! He relies on the Farm Bureau for Ag advise, listening to people who sell insurance or people like Alger etc. I don't consider that getting the real picture of our Ag industry but is fitting for a guy who won't blink when it comes to paving over produce or rock mining massive ag land outside the UDB. He didn't veto Cemex did he? Nope!

I can only recall the recent veto of the shrink wrap wars which show he puts his personal interests above the County because I believe both bidders were just as bad. That is another glaring issue.

What's with Bell using the "G"? Is there another Lynda Bell trying to use her name? Or is this her alter ego so Gimenez can tell us which version of her he's supporting? Anyone else think it's very bad policy for a sitting County Mayor to be campaigning for an incumbent on the commission at this early stage? Isn't he the Mayor of the County or just just the Commissioners? I wonder how the opposing Dist. 8 candidate feels about a Mayor being paid by all supporting one candidate? This can be an issue on it's own against her & him both. District 8 voters - don't let her win by a few hundred votes again. Let's blow her out the door like VNS after the recall. Enough is enough.

Gimenez won the recall election after tormenting Alvarez for his Marlins nonsense but at least we were robbed publicly. Catching up on this blog with that one Bell free Bond money to buy voters and help to friends in Browared, leads me to believe the entire commission with the help of a blind eye out of the mayors office robs us for more more than that on a daily basis. One billion to the Marlin's we know about actually is more palatable than one billion of mis spent funds by the County Commission we don't see!

Gimenez would be better served praying that Tallahassee kills both public tax deal to the Dolphins because that will be his Marlin's whether it's just receiving the $90 million of real tax dollars from the people who live here or the stupid voters of Dade getting conned with a multi million dollar campaign in to approving the tourist taxes, literally driving mainland tourists to Broward because Miami it's a fun place to stay in Dade unless it's on the Beach! Who would pay more? I wouldn't.

Thanks for the Barf meter. It's gotta be overflowing by now just with Bell if not so many others.....This is very disappointing to know for sure and read in addition to the gurgling in my stomach right about now.
