Get on the Bus for the Everglades. By Geniusofdespair

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better.
It's not."

Tired of ‘politics as usual’ and Big Sugar polluting America’s Everglades? YOU can make a difference! Yep, little you, HARD TO BELIEVE, and all you have to do is take a road trip to the lion's den: Tallahassee on April 8th and 9th.

Get on the luxury bus with environmentalists, we know how to have fun and we are a friendly bunch so you won't be disappointed. We are all going to Lobby for a Restored Everglades Ecosystem.

Join the Everglades Coalition for Florida's 1st Annual Everglades Day in Tallahassee and speak up for America's River of Grass.

The Coalition is hosting this in honor of Marjory Stoneman Douglas’ birthday, Everglades advocates and supporters will come together to meet with Florida lawmakers on key issues affecting America's Everglades and Florida’s water supply! Affordable transportation and accommodation have already been arranged – less than $130 per person. Events include an opening reception and a training on how to talk to your elected officials.  I was told a word of caution, no spitting will be tolerated.

Price includes luxury bus travel round trip from South Florida to Tallahassee (about 7 hours) for only $75 per person. Do the trip in comfort and style with comfortable seats, on-board restroom, DVD entertainment system and Wi-Fi! Spaces on the bus are limited so please reserve your spot today!

The Coalition has arranged a special group rate at the Holiday Inn Capital East for $55 for the one night stay (based on double occupancy) which includes hot breakfast. Reservations can be made by calling 850-877-3171 and referencing "Everglades Coalition." Make your reservations by March 25 to reserve this rate.

For more information click here. Register NOW. Feel young again, it is like the March on Washington except without the teargas and there will be talking involved. I might even go. I will miss the teargas but Tallahassee is an interesting place and they NEED THE BODIES, and that I am!

If you have questions, please contact evergladescoalition@gmail.com.
