Jack King over at Biscayne Times thinks Marco Rubio is being used by the Republican Party:
Now we have Sen. Marco Rubio, our wonderful boy senator from West Miami, who is falling into the same trap that ran Martinez out of Washington, only Rubio hasn’t figured it out yet. And with his brilliant intellect, he may never figure it out.
Rubio has been held up as a potential 2016 challenger for the White House. The reality is that the Republican Party has no intention of letting Rubio even get close to the nomination. They just want him out there to show the country that the party has some minority faces.

Is he really brilliant? If he is, he has an even grander ego. I don't think he's all that bright. If he were, he would have never aligned with guys like David Rivera.
It is humorous that the Repubs are trying to make him the face of the party for Hispanics. They (the Repubs) obviously know little about being Hispanic in America. The Cuban experience is a vast chasm away from the experience of most other Hispanics in the US.
The writer was being sarcastic. Read it again.
Marco Rubio is a very ambitious little twit and has sold himself to the Republicans. Obviously, the Rivera saga is all but forgotten so he will be untouched by the actions of his henchman in Tallahassee. However, I am a firm believer that what goes around comes around. I just hope I am around to see it all.
Why is Rebeca hosting an event for Rubio in her official position? Since he will be speaking in rebuttal to the state of the union it is partisan and the entire commission does not support Rubio. Sosa should have done the invite, not CHAIR Sosa. She is over stepping.
Remember Rubio was pals with G. Beck and S. Palin, who helped him stun C. Crist. Now Rubio does not know them.
Rubio, like the GOP, has no principles. It is all about power and self aggrandizement. Which means when the GOP attempts its dump, it will be like a python fighting to the death with a gator.
May they both explode.
Forgive me for saying this, but is he "the great beige hope?"
