Life Was Easier in 1928...Not More Ethical. By Geniusofdespair

My Uncle Henry was determined to get ahead over 80 years ago.  He went to night school to get a diploma for elementary school. He wanted to register for high school subjects. The only problem with the diploma, it had his name wrong. They recorded it with the name 'Harry' instead of 'Henry'. Henry contacted Principal Weil right away.

3 Days later Henry got this note, on Board of Education stationery, from the principal telling him to do his own doctoring of the document. Good lesson to learn in school.

Ink eradicator bleaches out ink. The Principal not only advised him to doctor the diploma, he told Uncle Henry how to do it! Maybe the principal had experience with changing documents.
