This guy is too good to be true. Here is what Sheriff Crowder says about the Environment:
From my days as a young man fishing along the crystal clear shores of the St. Lucie River, I have enjoyed and appreciated the environmental treasures of our piece of paradise in Florida and have shown my commitment to protecting our region’s natural resources. I know firsthand how inextricably linked the health of our natural environment is to the health of our economy – in District 18, the state of Florida and our great nation.
From tourism, to the marine industry, to recreational opportunities – our beaches, rivers, conservation lands, and open spaces keep people moving to Florida and to our region – and help fuel our economy.
That’s why I’m a steadfast supporter of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan.
That’s also why I am opposed to drilling off of Florida’s fragile coastline. While it is critical that we identify and develop new sources of energy, we must not jeopardize Florida’s economy in the process nor must we make decisions that will harm our food supply.
We must expand research and development opportunities for clean, alternative energy sources, while protecting our natural resources and creating new jobs for Americans in the process.
