County Commissioners Better Not Lift the Covenant. By Geniusofdespair

This issue is being heard today at 9:30 am in County Commission chambers. Turn on your TV. Read the article.
UPDATE: Except for Moss, the Brown application to lift the covenant was approved by all the others commissioners to be sent to the State Dept. of Community Affairs. LOSERS!! Suarez: Why would you vote for this? Why? Why?

It's laughable when the BCC approves things subject to a covenant. It's such an easy ride to change it and they know it. It sounds good for the moment and they laugh at the public stupidity for buying the BS.

I have zero confidence in the BCC and will bet they over turn the covenant. They don't care, they need the campaign contributions. The voters don't count because theoretically, they really don't need them either because of the AB's!

Re Suarez: perhaps he voted for it to assure the special interest don't put someone to run against him. Maybe he'll vote better after he wins his seat again.

I called this one as the 1st anon! I should have put money on it, not just words!

Suarez doesn't give a crap, no one is running against him and he likes it that way.

I wish I could find the tape of the original Brown hearing swearing to this covenant they just amended (cough)!

"Better not" or what? You'll recall the offending commissioners? No time with the election coming up and once they get elected, they're immune for a year after they're sworn in.

Besides, Vanessa Brito's caught up in defamation lawsuit that's going to keep her sidelined for a few months.

What I learned early on when parenting, don't make a threat you're not ready, or able to carry through on.

And Braman is trying to get Moss voted out with the help of Brito & Bell. I know it's paid work for Vanessa, but come on.

I want nothing more than Jordan & Barreiro out, those are my top two. Martinez is leaving, so I guess we need to watch le pew & Bovo. Bell is too predictable, and getting too easy.

In 20 years of zoning hearings, I don't recall any commission upholding covenants ... The developer attorneys like price know they can write one and get it overturned the minute the community looks away. It is routine and a matter of doing business.
