Marco Rubio: Why won't you meet with climate change scientists? ... by gimleteye

Florida is in the cross-hairs of climate change, with its economy at severe risk. Yet US Senator Marco Rubio refuses to meet with qualified climate change scientists to review the facts. Dr. Harold Wanless, chair of the Dept. of Geology of the University of Miami, personally handed an invitation to Senator Rubio to meet with climate change scientists, who never responded to Dr. Wanless despite promising he would. Incredible that this is someone who is on the list of GOP vice presidential candidates. Truly un-believable.

It's not a surprise that this opportunistic and ultimately dumb bastard refuses to tender an intelligent gesture. Marco Rubio is all about BULL___, and that's all there is to him!

Then again, has Miami Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez, met with Dr. Wanless? Wanless should be invited ASAP to speak to the entire Miami Dade County Commission, State delegation, too.
And publish the Lidar maps on the Miami Dade County website.

Additionally Connie Mack IV is one of the largest supporters of the Keystone XL at the expense of Florida, due to the fact that it is one of the most destructive and carbon producing forms of petroleum extraction, giving no thought or mind to the effects it might have in advancing climate change and sea level rise and the billions of dollars in impacts to coastlines of Florida.

That little weasel's constituents want to speed up the second coming.

to most Hal Wanless is asking society to do the impossible - stop sea level rise. he's really advocating the near impossible - retreat. until the societal costs of trying to "manage" sea level rise and storms in places like Key West and south Florida become totally overwhelming will he be appreciated.

Why? Because he's too busy taking "improper" campaign contributions:
