Geno Perez, a Marine Corps Veteran, is running against Carlos Curbelo for School Board District 7. I would think about supporting Eugenio "Geno" Perez as Carlos has been pretty busy lobbying for Genting Gambling interests. How does that help education or our kids? Doesn't he get a salary to be on the school board? If he is recusing himself all the time because of conflicts over his lobbying, he is disenfranchising his district. I talked to Geno and I liked what I heard.

In addition, I serve as UTD (United Teachers of Dade) union steward and EESAC (Educational Excellence School Advisory Council) chairman.

Curbelo being a lobbyist while at the same time "serving" in elected office is wrong.

I met Geno Perez during the February South Miami elections, and I really liked the man. He talked passionately about his students. His school is pretty unique. Nice guy. Good luck to him.

I think he looks strict, but approachable. I think the photo has both qualities. He has the hint of a smile. Like the mona lisa.
I am appalled by the quality of photos most candidates post. Apparently vanity isn't one of their strong traits. Most post crappy photos of themselves.I do call and advise them to have pictures taken.

All kidding aside, good to have someone in the race to provide an alternate voice. I am very uncomfortable with Curbello's slick establishment demeanor. Its about the kids. I suspect Geno will get some good funding.

this guy is a tool of the for-rpofit charter school industry and GOP ideologues who just don't want a public education system. a ralph arza, demotrio perez acolyte.
say what you want about curbello. there's certainly plenty to say about him, and the other school board members (god help us all).
but he's on the right side on issues affecting PUBLIC EDUCATION. he also gets things done, not just taking up space.

I will DEFINETLY be voting for Geno Perez! He is an honest man. He is an amazing father to his young children! It's about time someone like him steps up to the plate! I urge everyone to do the same! Perhaps a new voice will hear the pleas of desperate teachers who are underpaid and unappreciated.

Geno is an ideal candidate to be the voice for the children. He is a great father, man, and friend.

Let us truly support Geno as he faces Goliath. No teacher BS of not getting involved. This man deserves support and Curbelo needs a spanking. Geno seems like the real deal and if his wife is a clue of what Geno can accomish looking like a mug shot I will vote for him all day every say. Hooora!

Well then we need an educator to deal with educational decisions! I like Geno's background, which says alot about him without ever meeting the man! Good luck and I will sign up to volunteer in this campaign.
Geno is the right choice for the job. He will serve the needs of the community without bias or bought off.

This is one passionate and deserving canidate! He has been working so hard for students, teachers, and the education system as a whole for a long time now. He deserves a chance to show everyone what he can do and has 100% of my respect and support!
