In other election news, Clerk of Courts, Harvey Ruvin's challenger has withdrawn so there is no challenger there. Edma Diaz has signed up to run for Mayor - there are now 12 candidates. Keon Hardemon has signed up to run against County Commissioner Audrey Edmonson and Loretta Riley of Florida City is running against County Commissioner Dennis Moss. Only Xavier Suarez has no challenger...yet. Pedro Garcia has drawn 2 challengers for Property Appraiser. One is dangerous: Carlos Lopez-Cantera. Lopez-Cantera will probably win because of name recognition. I don't think he did anything notable while in the State Legislature. Miami Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle has a challenger: Roderick Vereen. How long has she been in office? About 30 years?

When is the qualifying for the State seats? Have those all been settled or is there still a musical chairs going on?
Rundle, Lopez-cantera...could it get any worse?
