Someone pour a buket of water on this witch and be done with her.

Is she related to Stacy Deleon Bell who works for FPL?

Fantastic news.
Millions can now be made available for the Berrones and Garza families. They don't really live in Homestead but this Mayor's first move was eliminating background checks. Homestead don't need no stinking background checks. Bateman has such a good record with the housing authority board and the current B&Z board. Hooray for Homestead. Yippee!

Genius this is great news for all of us. THe CRA needs to improve but the way Bell was doing this was wrong.
Yes her daughter works for FPL. That's the reason she straps her signs to their utility poles. I thought this was illegal. Its my understanding another daughter works for the Sweetwater Police Department. She is the same officer that lost her partner the dog a few weeks ago which I think has become the family pet. Just do not get lost and depend on this dog to find you.LOL

Let's determine how this would have played out in light of the fact that a memeber of the Bell family has acquired the Redland Hotel (from Capital Bank) which I believe lies within the CRA district. Why would they have possibly wanted to own a 100 plus year old wood frame building in Homestead ??

Why was she making policy without the knowledge of the rest of the commission that would change power of the commission?

The house bill sponsored by Eric Fresen (R - Miami)died a 12-12 tie in the House Finance and Tax Committee and the companion senate bill sponsored by Miguel Diaz de La Portilla (R- Miami) was tabled in the Senate's Community Affairs Committee.

Committee members objected to the state's legislative intrusion into a Miami-Dade County issue.

Commissioner Bell's attempt was shut down by the Dade League of Cities, the Florida Redevelopment Association, and the City of Homestead Mayor and four Council members among many others.

Bell is being watched and tracked very closely. I hope she got the message from the votes in Tallahassee.
