Holy Toledo Audrey! By Geniusofdespair

Most County Commissioners fill out the "Assets: Household Goods and Personal Effects" portion on the Financial Disclosure form about the same, under $100,000. It includes furniture, jewelry, stamps, guns, etc. Here are a few: Barreiro, $50,000; Bell, $50,000; Bovo $75,000; Heyman, $10,000, Souto, $11,000; Moss $50,000; Sosa $25,000 and Jordan pretty high at $110,00, Martinez even higher at $180,000.

Audrey Edmonson filled in the amount of $546,000. That is more than her net worth of $378,000 as of Dec. 31, 2010. I have never seen a financial disclosure with that high of an amount for any County Commissioner. I guess I have to look more closely at her jewelry or maybe it is her gun collection. Watch out for Audrey!

On another subject, I put a video on YouTube of the Ramblin' Man - County Commissioner Javier Souto - talking about the Genting Casino Project. He is always good for a chuckle. Souto talked for about ten minutes, the video is a portion of what he said, however, he repeats a lot so you won't miss much. The last minute is pretty entertaining, it is hard to believe he was a State Senator.

I have a hard time understanding what Souto is saying. I'm guessing he doesn' like the casino? I can't tell other than I got the part he supported Disney, something about a mouse & flag, country within a country and we (the bcc) need to debate the Casino!

As to Edmunson - wow! What were her "assets" when she first became Commissioner?

I think we are looking at a mistake on Audrey's form.

Souto is saying we need to slow down the process of deciding whether to let Genting turn Miami into a casino resort town.

He is right.

Genius, when are you going to write about Genting? The Herald reported in passing that one of its partners is tied to Chinese Triad organized crime. Is there any city in US where the legalization of gambling lead to prosperity?
