Video of Luther Campbell saying that Julio Robaina promised to hire his pal Rutledge in exchange for Campbell's endorsement. Only trouble is THIS IS ILLEGAL. A complaint was already filed with the State Attorney's office.
CBS 4 on this story. Someone should tell Luther Campbell there is no taking back a video - we all heard what we heard. What a putz trying to deny what he said on that New Times video. I guess he didn't realize it was a felony and could have ejected his man from the race.

There are four videos - parts 1 through 4, each about five minutes.
I wonder what the elections department is going to do or Fernandez Rundle (I have no faith she'll do anything but hide under a rock some where).
Maybe the Feds can help out and indict Robaina before election day? Wow, that would be sweet.
In any event, I believe what Campbell is saying, though I have to wonder if he ever read the campaign hand book of no no's.
I'm not a Campbell fan of his music or politics, but one thing I do give him much credit for was that Supreme Court fight for freedom of speech. To me, that was probably one of his greatest accomplishments and he deserves nothing but accolades for that. I also believe he is telling the truth in these videos.

Wow! What an incredible video! We actually see how Robaina makes his illicit backroom deals. Campbell, Robaina, and Rutledge should all be in jail based on this video!
cant believe that campbell is so proud of doing something unethical and illegal. he is a too stupid for words.
strouse and alvarado know they hit gold in this interview but they dont how to handle the info because they are supposed to be campbell's friend and employer. they posted it hoping others (like you) would notice it. the herald needs to pick up this story. it's getting too big.

If (God help us) Robaina manages to win this race, guess who now will definitely NOT be hired? If you guessed Pierre Rutledge, you would be correct. Now that the cat is out of the bag, Rutledge can kiss his plum county job goodbye.
If we observe this obvious infraction publicly recorded on video; what can we expect behind closed doors in a Robaina administration?
I suggest much more of the same.
He said/he said issue? Gimenez received the same pitch. Also, it appears Rutledge was with Campbell at his meeting with Robaina at Don Shula's steakhouse.
It appears as if it will be "Robaina said" vs. "Campbell said/Gimenez said/Rutledge said." Criminal convictions have been obtained with a lot less.

I have heard that Mayor Robaina's total annual compensation exceeds $250,000 per year.
The salary of the vice president of the United States is $230,700 per year.
Mayor Robaina is grossly over-compensated. Do you think he'll tale a pay cut as County Mayor?

The Herald just picked up the story and now Campbell is changing what he told the New Times - even though he's on video stating what happened. Now he's saying something different to the Herald.
Wow, he almost got my respect but it has quickly dissipated. Now Campbell is flat out lying to the Herald.
Wow, it's one thing for investigators to dig for and piece together evidence for a conclusion and then move to an indictment.
It's another thing altogether to have incriminating evidence recorded on video and publicly displayed for thousands to see.
Robaina should should gracefully bow out of this election NOW.
Campbell recanted. Cool your jets. Robaina's not going to get arrested for this or disqualified from office. Kathy Rundle is not going to prosecute on this.
Not buying it. If RUndle doesn't investiage, we should investigate her. Maybe we should all show up with signs in front of her office
