With Robaina only winning ABs by 900+, it is over. That, with the low turnout in the black community means that Robaina can't pull it out unless the Hialeah precincts show more votes than already reported turnout.

I spent time in Hialeah today and couldn't believe how many people had voted. The voter apathy everywhere else in this county is pathetic.

The only sad note is that a mere 16.5% of registered voters took part in this historic election.

Now, Carlos Gimenez has to get to work - balance the budget, preserve county services and jobs, lower property taxes, while the county commissioners once again pick and choose who deserves public funding.

Tough job. Congratulations and Good Luck!
