I don't know what Robaina promised him, but it won't happen unless he has it in writing, and even then, he'll need a few court hearings to enforce it (but, we know Robaina ain't that dumb).

For those undecided voters, I think by Gimenez not promising things he couldn't or wouldn't deliver to Campbell, he truly has the most integrity in this race by far! Please consider supporting Gimenez. He's a good guy, yes, no one is perfect but he has the will of the people at heart, not special interests or loan sharking!

Putz, AMEN! I guess he doesn't plan on running again because he just lost a whole bunch of voters.

Gosh, did not Luther accuse Robaina of buying black votes? I guess he knows what he's talking about.

I just received another nasty gram mailer from the accountability project = please, save you printing and postage to my home. And, remove my number from your robocall list. These are beyond irritating.

Thanks,

Mr Campbell accused Julio Robaina of buying off the black vote in a debate. Please explain to me what he just did endorsing Mr Robaina. Has he read the paper. Has he seen how he treated the Hialeah employees. Has he check out how he illegally fired the 16 firefighters. He made alot of families suffer for no reason with no pay for 6 months. I hope he understands Mr Robaina's word means nothing unless he is promising appointments or favors. To that I say GOOD LUCK he will lie and never keep his word. Has he checked out how he treated the community of Seminola in Hialeah. I think he needs to speak to the community and see what they think. I really thought more of him then this. Doesn't he realize how he has treated the taxpayers in Hialeah. Does he really believe he will change? People that are like Mr Robaina do not change. Vote 'no' to Mr Robaina.

Consulting check... and check.

Genius,

Would you agree that the Gimenez campaign has issues? How were they allowed to make that fauxpas in sending out a major endorsement email, press release for Luther and no back peddling. Someone should lose their consulting contract. The endorsement may not mean anything to the real Gimenez demographics but it should send a warning that his organization need to get their act together.

Concerned not about the endorsement, concerned at who he hired to handle his communications.

Robaina gets an endorsement, he bought it. Gimenez gets an endorsement, he earned and deserved it. This blog has become another hate spewing rag. You endorsed Gimenez. You are biased and admit it. I respect that. This blog is ultimately by you and for you, but wow please read what you are publishing. Your blog is being used by people you profoundly disagree with on all levels (Raul Martinez). His minions, Rolando Bolanos and Eric Johnson, spin and put out false information. Raul and his rats could care less about Gimenez, they only care about hurting Julio. I grew accustomed to read your blog daily. Now it's become another propaganda arm, I just doubt your doing this willingly. You can disagree with Julio and believe he shouldn't be county mayor but believe me he's an angel next to the people your allying yourself with.

A few weeks ago, I told you we would find out what kind of people Llorente and Campbell really were. Are they about Good Government, or just about, personal gain?

I guess we know now.

Luther, that was a very poorly executed and poorly calculated political move. Even if Robaina wins, you still look like a fool who got paid off and did it for the money. Additionally, you have ruined any credibility and good faith with the residents of Miami-Dade County.

Yes, you had gained some credibility as someone who called it like it was, but then you threw it all away for a cheap pay-off, that you will probably never see.

I am not so sure Luther brings in the black vote. From my informal survey it was under 30 white guys voting for him as a protest. We shall see. Victor Curry brings in black voters.

29th floor = all the strippers and coke you can handle.

Tomorrow at 12:30 there will be a press conference at Purdy Lounge, where Charlie Sheen will endorse Julio Robaina.

Just read that Robaina promised to hire Luther's friend Pierre Rutledge as a senior adviser. I am sure there was money exchanged, too. Luther, who also clearly needs a job, said at the press conference that he wants to be the vice mayor. I think I am going to throw up now.

newsflash: Robaina invites Luke over to his crib to discuss economic reinvestment plans.

What a joke. Campbell should go back to the music business where presumably he has something to say. Because this new roll as a commentator and political wannabe just makes him like another empty suit.

The votes he may influence are nothing to ignore. What if Moss follows suit and the dominoes start to fall. If Robaina is elected, God save the Redlands, he and Bell will move to pave and concrete them in a flash. Its about jobs, you know. (Ugh)

Well, another thought on this is the CRA issue, which is what aparently Robaina promised according to the New Times article yesterday (or today), can't remember the date.

In any event, Bell (I can't stand her) is very anti CRA, which is a good thing because look at the Homestead CRA audit when she was their Mayor. I guess maybe she's atoning!

Moss is going to be very careful of Redland. The past few years, he's been pretty hard core on holding the line (except the Speedway and that's east of US 1)!

I would never second guess any of our commissioners because the goal line is constantly changing with the lobbyist of the day.

However, the CRA's need to go. They are a cash influx to insiders and the businesses they are supposed to help very rarely get what they're due under the program.

I think there may be one or two good one's (CRA's) but the rest are just money feeding frenzy's. Look at the audits - that's taxpayer funding.

Gimenez was 100% correct in his thinking and speaking frankly to Campbell about this. It obviously fell on deaf ears!

Anyone who's taken half a day or even a whole day to go through just a handful of these audits would know this. I don't know how one is going to reduce taxes and fund non performing CRA's to insiders at the same time - oh, wait, Robaina will fire the entire Fire Department!

The Southeast Park West Overtown CRA is a money pit. A cesspool. Gimenez is correct these CRA's need to be abolished now. Money is being stolen from taxpayers.

Luke got played, and not in a good way.

Politics is what it is there will be a 10% turnout though endorsements don't alwayss transfer the low turn out makes vote that much more valuable.

Uncle Luke just lost a ton of street cred.

Pathetic is the only word that comes to mind when I learned that Mr. Campbell endorsed Robaina.

The African-American community deserves better. We ALL deserve better. Robaina does not even care for his own people in Hialeah, why should he care about the rest of the people in Miami-Dade.

I will vote for Gimenez. In 18 months, we can decide if he can handle the job, but I would never vote for Robaina - absolutely not!

What is Robaina's track record in relating to the African American Community? Is there a large African-American Community in Hialeah? Last time I looked there was not.

Gimenez was Fire Chief and City Manager of the City of Miami, a diverse city with a large African-American Community.

Gimenez undoubtedly gained substantial experience and understanding of the African-American Community during his tenure at the City of Miami.

Robaina will betray the African- American Community. Those of you that are gullible may deserve your betrayal. Is the African-American Community for sale? I hope not. We'll see on election day.
