Best Quote On The Mayoral Election in the Miami Herald Today. By Geniusofdespair

...The negative campaigns of our leaders prove that we are dealing with political swashbucklers who are champions of word-mongering. Daniel Shoer Roth

Political swashbucklers...so polite yet infused with the image of swords lashing out words in a duel to the death.

Another reason to vote for Carlos Gimenez:

He voted for Alex Sink for Governor and Julio Robaina supported Rick Scott.

Yeah, Gimenez voted for Alex Sink. Pleeeeeze.

I can't wait until photos of him sucking up to Rick Scott make it into ads

You know Pleeeeze is getting old.

The new mayor should not have time for photo ops. We ought to promise for every photo of him with Scott, we each will deduct 5.00 (per incident) from our next campaign contribution.

I like that anonymous. It's fair to say that both candidates are not happy with our governor's direction. Gimenez came out and said he did not vote for either Scott or SInk, but "supported sink." either way, it doesn't matter.

This is a local, non-partisan election. I'm supporting Robaina because I think we need a mayor who will take control of the county and blame himself for any mistakes. That what a leader does. Carlos is an intelligent man, but I believe he is running for the wrong seat. He perfect for legislative duties, not an executive.

Good luck to both candidates!!!

Julio will take the blame? Are you kidding he is back pedaling from the
stadium deal support as fast as he can. He WILL NEVER TAKE THE BLAME.

No one in Town other than readers of this blog believes Gimenez voted for Sink. Gimenez is a self proclaimed conservative Republican and bragged about througout his tenure in the Miami-Dade County Commission. I really am rooting for Robaina now, anyone that can take all that biased Miami-Herald beating deserves to win.

Gimenez needs to invest some of his money on taking care of his teeth! For goodness sake, he is running for mayor!

looks like to robaina bloggers are out in full force.. maybe you should be in hialeah, counting the parks that are closed, or getting lunch for those 500 kids that lost their free lunch program because of Robaina.. Robaina as an executive, HA!! That is really funny...

Teeth, you are complaining about teeth.... come on... how about Robaina's gerth??

At the risk of being snarky, I would love for the candidates to "unveil" some more plans. I just had to use that word in a sentence, because the Herald keeps using it. Good work; unveil.
