Three Quotes in The Miami Herald. By Geniusofdespair

The Miami Herald ran 3 good columns today that I recommend you read. Marquez's is the saddest because it hit home on what the Mayoral Election hinges on: The uninformed.

Myriam Marquez's Column:
It’s all really up to the abuelitas from Hialeah to Kendall and the grandmas from Aventura to Florida City. They’re the so-called super voters, the ones who send their absentee ballots without fail, the ones whose long life tells them to go with the gut and vote for the candidate who looks and sounds trustworthy.
Carl Hiassen's Column:
Having a radical wingnut for governor has proven to be a blessing for other top Florida Republicans. No matter what kind of reckless mischief they devise, they still appear almost sane and levelheaded compared to Rick Scott.
Fred Grimm's Column about the State using our tax dollars to pay for lawsuits to invalidate the 2 Fair Districts constitutional amendments that the people voted for:
“It’s a little disingenuous for them to complain about the litigation,” said former state senator Dan Gelber, who represents the Fair Districts group, which shepherded redistricting reform onto the ballot last year. “It’s like the boy who murdered his parents and asked for mercy because he’s an orphan."

First -- I don't know what you are wishing me a happy mother's day for, i am not a mother. And I don't know why you are warning me about a person who is guest blogging. I put a caveat on in that it is not our opinions. I guess I should have just deleted a comment that didn't say anything.

G.o.D. - I think it's because the last anon has heard so many politicians use the word MOTHER *@#!er before your name, that they just assumed you were a mother.

Give 'em hell!

We have decided to rename the holiday to MF Day, so that we can have more people at the table. I am all for having the bigger tent, you know. I realize this has nothing to do with your blog, which is wonderful, but I thought I would just mess with you a bit cause I am a mom and cause I can.

Have a happy Mother's Day.

Thanks for all you do.

My Abuelita voted through her absentee ballot. She said Robaina is a scumbag and Gimenez is a hypocrite and the only one she felt comfortable with is Llorente. She said the old guys need to move the hell on and we need new faces. *shrug* This election sucks any way you cut it but those Abuelitas aren't THAT uninformed. ;)

yes they are, they always vote for the young cute guy...Rubio, Penelas, Fressen, Llorente. They are bad voters. They vote for the SONS not their husbands.
