A reason NOT to vote for Marcelo Llorente. By Geniusofdespair

Mayoral candidate Marcelo Llorente was quoted in the Miami Herald saying Jeb Bush was one of his political role models. The same Jeb who endorsed his opponent Julio Robaina. That is a double whammy. Most of you know we are not Jeb fans on this blog.

Hey G.O.D. Did u also know that your favorite organization the PBA is supporting Robaina for Commission? Not only supporting bit spending big dollars on independent expenditures. I wonder which way he will vote when contract time comes cOnsidering he has like a 100% voting record with unions.

But I'm sure you won't Blog about that just that they are supporting mayor Robaina.

Hypocritical if you ask me.

This is about the MAYORAL campaign not the County Commission campaign.

I hate the PBA but Julio TGO is the best man in this race. You have to weigh the good and the bad. They all have skeletons. I try to sift out the best one from the crap. There are certain issues that I can't get beyond: 1. A Jeb Bush Endorsement. 2. Wanting a Jeb Bush Endorsement. 3. Being dishonest/unethical.

Well, this statement from a__kisser Marcelo must have gone very nicely with the Herald because we know how much they like Jeb Bush, don't we? LOL And Jeb has endorsed Robaina? Well, we also know how much Jeb is influenced by the "bank posse"... birds of a feather. Neither one is, or could be, my candidate. Marcelo is, obviously, all screwed up and Robaina is a class A crook.

Anyone who speaks Spanish, and has seen Julio Robaina's (the evil one) messages to the voters will get the chills. It touches on every neuralgic point about what has been politically happening in this county. It is frankly frightening to think that people will be watching those messages and believing what he is claiming. I hope Gimenez attacks because if he doesn't, there's a chance Robaina might be elected mayor!

With all due respect Genius...you are bashing LLorente and he has done none of the 3 items you just mentioned above in your last post.

Okay let me be more specific:

4. Admitting Jeb is your roll model.

Just an FYI that Gimenez's Facebook page lists him as a "fan" of Jeb Bush. Soooo we did a $4 million recall election for this (italics on "this" if I could)?

I also found the quote about “Marcelo putting them on the table” to be to alpha male and macho bullshit driven for me. Had enough of that with Alvarez!

Methinks Gimenez's biggest booboo is to be against the Strong Mayor form of govt. How can he be for giving the BOCC/mgr more power. DUMB!

Gimenez may not be perfect (none of us are)but he is the best of the worst. I already sent my ballot in with my vote for him.

Llorente spend 8 years in Tallahassee and tried unsuccessfully to push steroids legislation? Really? I guess that makes him as qualified as any to be Mayor of this County.

Llorente noted that Bush was on the phone at 6:45 in the morning rounding up votes. The next County Mayor will need to work sun-up to sundown to put things in order. Why would you vote against a candidate who admired a politician who worked hard?

Olfelia - we hate Jeb and Diaz Balart, so why do you keep posting that is a plus for your sleazy candidate Julio Robaina? Both those endorsement would make me NOT want to vote for him.

G.o.d,

I posted the comments above, and I am not a fan of Jeb Bush or a campaign worker for Llorente. You have every right to use your Blog to support your choice for Mayor, but many of us are looking for an alternative to the "leading" candidates. I am sure if you ask Gimenez who he admires he will tell you himself.

Genius why dont you cut and paste Robaina's face onto Jay Cutler's body so the readers can get a visual of who is probably going to be our next strong mayor.

It's not fun when you delete comments that don't satisfy your point of view.

Way to be a great "roll" model.

This blog was great until this post. Gimenez is a decent candidate, but so is Llorente. He has NOT thrown mud and actually gets along with Gimenez (from what I notice at the debates and from what I saw at the Early Voting sites). Looks like the Gimenez camp is under fire.

I'm surprised you all are not endorsing Redfern. She hugs the trees and Sorensen loves her.
