GO VOTE TODAY and not for Hialeah Julio! By Geniusofdespair

Hialeah Julio Robaina the bad one (TBO) has raised $1,210,488 through 5/19. Carlos Gimenez has raised a third of that, $457,237. Julio TBO has one of the worst campaign reports I have ever seen. His wife is his treasurer, figures. If you don't want him to win, better get your friends to vote. He has too much money to lose unless there is a big turnout. I wonder how the Latin Builders Association gave him $500.00. I guess they have a C4 arm. The Forge Restaurant gave him $500. Washington Mutual Bank gave him $200. He even hit up the port pretty good. Stevedoring and container companies gave and the Port of Miami Terminal Operations. If all of these businesses want him...YOU DON'T! Check out Miami New Times' Five Reasons Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina is the Wrong Man for the Job. I liked 4 and 5 the best:

4. All his cronies will get jobs at County Hall. Following his 2009 reelection, Robaina orchestrated the removal of his nemesis Alex Morales as director of the Hialeah Housing Authority. Under the mayor's direction, the authority's board of directors replaced Morales with Julio Ponce, a former business partner of Robaina who chairs a political action committee that has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist the Hialeah mayor's political machinations.

5. He is a compulsive liar. I've counted at least five different times during his campaign when Robaina has emphatically insisted he did not speak in favor of the Marlins stadium deal. Yet, we all know video evidence proves otherwise. Robaina would get more respect if he had just admitted, "You know what, I was wrong. The Marlins got a sweetheart deal at the expense of taxpayers." Instead he chose to run with the lie.

Seriously folks, drive the little old lady next door to vote, bribe your kids, do whatever it takes to get people voting or Julio TBO will be our future mayor. And, don't waste your vote in protest on some of the the other candidates that can't possibly win.

I made a mistake readers, that quote was of the Miami Times, not Genius. My apologies...

Vote no to Julio Robaina. He is a poor adminstrator. Right now he has cost the citizens of Hialeah 10000 a day by not following a court order to put the 16 firefighters he illegally fired back to work. He also gave a 125000 dollar job to be in charge of the Hialeah Housing att. to a personal friend Julio Ponce who has no experience and only has a high school degree. Go out to vote to prevent Mr Robaina from getting elected. He will cost Miami Dade county millions.

At the end of the day, your candidate will probably win because he has a political consultant -- Alex, the magician --who is an expert in electing a
candidate. Alex knows the formula well: money translates into votes, and votes are what a candidate needs. Don't bullshit me with who's "an independent"... you are an outsider who knows nothing about what goes behind the scene. Being an observer, in Miami, is not enough; you have to be inside the monster, and you and the monster have never met!

What I said previously, was that you can't tell Gimenez what to do -- he is independent as in he makes up his own mind...but he is not of the independent party. I can see plenty out here in the street. I can tell you the thousands of robo-calls are not making anyone happy, most of all the voters.

Yeah I really enjoyed the Robo Call from Raul Martinez (ex indicted and convicted Mayor of Hialeah) endorsing Carlos Gimenez. I bet you that call didn't go out to Coral Gables or Pinecrest.

Holy mackerel, Genius! Gimenez is good friends with the Pino possee, and that's why Raul Martinez has endorsed him. We can't run away from it: they are all in bed together, and by the way, I didn't say Gimenez is "a no political party man:... maybe that's one of the problems! He can't fool me, my information happens to be straight from the people who know... they just don't know my true political feelings.

Hialeah Julio??

What is so wrong with Hialeah that you and your Gimenez bloggers hate so much? I am not a Cuban but been here long enough to know this community and every Cuban in one shape or another came from or have relataives in Hialeah. There are more crooks and delinquents in Pinecrest than anyone would like to admit.

It just seems so racist. I hope Robaina wins.

Get off it...there are two Julio Rabaina's running. One from Hialeah and one from South Miami. Don't always think the worst of your fellow man.

Ok Genius no insults... Carlos made a huge mistake folks. His PAC robocall which chanted "we don't want Miami Dade County to turn into Hialeah" will cost him this election. Why didn't Gimenez stay focused on delivering messages of what he will bring to the table and not how bad of a guy Julio is. Cleanest campaign goes to Llorente.

My candidate is Mayor Julio Robaina. He is the strong mayor that this county desperately needs. Also, I wish a lot of the bloggers didn't base their decisions solely on what they read in the south florida newspapers. I can't even read the herald anymore after observing how they covered this primary.

Also who is this anonymous blogger who thinks Mayor Robaina is a bad administrator? He is a remarkable administrator!! His friend who he hired for Housing has done incredible work in hialeah!!! Ask the people living in the homes! I have visited them myself. Is it wrong to hire someone qualified for a job if they are your friend? Let's get real here people.

All I ask is this: please please please stop basing decisions based on what the Herald writes. That paper has its own agenda and it showed. If you want to know what type of an administrator "Hialeah Julio" is, the intelligent plan would be to ask his citizens in Hialeah, not the Miami Herald. And I thought that was a no brainer...

BTW, how sad was voter turnout yesterday?!?! Almost embarrassing actually.

Kudos to all of the volunteers for all of the campaigns who stood out in the hot sun these past few weeks. We love your Passion.

Vote for Gimenez. Julio Robaina has destroyed Hialeah . He feels he is above the law and did not follow a court order to return the firefighters he illegally fired back to work. THis was costing the city of Hialeah 10000 dollars a day. How can anyone trust a man who is willing to throw away the taxpayers money like that. Vote for Gimenez on June 28......
