Carlos is right and that is why I am working to see him elected.
However, is not an engine, has never been an engine and will never be an engine. We don't need homes if we don't have jobs - so it ain't an engine folks.
The 2nd anon makes a good point. Homebuilding isn't an engine that supports the economy. It is definitely a major sector of the economy, but engine? No. No more than hotels are engines for tourism. People come to the place they want to visit and the hotel is the place to stay while they're there. They don't come to Miami because there's a Holiday Inn here. People don't move to Miami because they heard there are houses for sale. They come here for jobs, to escape the cold, or to escape a dictator, or their ex-wives, but not because there are houses.
Thank you, said the 2nd anon. Gimenez gets it, though. (The part about the expanded operating budgets and services and infrastructure.) He needs sto win.
Now I am wondering how the hell we are going to pay for city water to all those polluted wells. We need to stop the rock mining too, folks.

I knew I voted for the right one and will do so again - HOLD THE LINE. How can we get Bell to do the same?
