Braman Sees Himself As a Tea Party Supporter. By Geniusofdespair

To all those enamored with Norman Braman, you should know that the Watchdog Report by Daniel Ricker reported that Norman Braman said he is: "happy to identify myself as a tea party supporter." Ugh. However Ricker reported that Braman said about Lynda Bell:
Braman also took a shot at new Commissioner Lynda Bell who replaced retiring Commissioner Katy Sorenson in District 8 saying she “ran as a tea party” candidate but also voted yes to allow Commissioner Natacha Seijas to donate around $250,000 from her district fund, a vote that actually occurred on the recall election day for Seijas as well. The majority of the other commissioners shot down the disbursement but this vote had Braman saying. “She has been a major disappointment” and he is considering adding her name to the possible recall list of commissioners.

If you are for the Constitution, a federal government encapsulated within it's properly designated Constitutional boundaries, states rights (again as delineated under the Constitution), a reduction in entitlement programs to only those that are actually in need, real currency versus floating fiat dollars, fair taxation, secure boders, treatment of illegal aliens as ILLEGAL ALIENS like other countries do, fiscal and monetary conservatism, letting corporations live or die as dictated by free markets instead of bailout packages, and elected officials who tell the truth and do their jobs (the main part of which is not to ensure their reelection); then I guess you're a Tea Party supporter. If you're not, you're pretty much an anti-Constitutionalist, which makes you anti-American. As I've said before, if this place is so bad, there are plenty of other first, second, and third world countries where you can live the egalitarian progressive socialist dream; and I encourage you to act on the courage of your convictions and go wherever you envision socialist paradise to be and live that dream.

There is a reason for American exceptionalism. We are exceptional. There's a lot more people trying to get in than trying to get out. People tend to vote with their feet.

Genius and Gimlet, you have been staunch defenders of appropriate conduct on this blog as far as personal attacks, but often refer to Tea Party supporters as Tea Baggers.

This is a reference to what some would consider a degrading sexual act where someone's scrotum is dropped into someone else's mouth like a tea bag is into a cup.

Tea Bagger is a polite reference to this sexual act and is no different than refering to the homosexuals as "sexually challenged". Neither reference is polite, sensitive, or palatable.

Shame, shame!

David don't you have something else to do?

Well, well! So it boils down to what I've always said about Norman Braman -- he doesn't give a damn about the people, only what affects him personally. Naturally, I have worked closely with Norman Braman -- on an issue that was very important to him -- and I came to realize that he basically cares about Norman Braman's interests... and that's about all. All, or most, of you only know what you see or what you want to see! And yes, David, you're a real schmuck! I hope you're Jewish, so you know what I'm calling you.

David seems to make sense, until we realize that Tea Baggers are mostly hypocrites who actually support distortions of the free market, and enjoy subsidizing highways, big agriculture, big oil, and other environmental destroyers. If the tea baggers were truly sincere about limiting government's role to that which is outlined in the constitution, we'd have to outfit every piece of public infrastructure (yes, the roads and sidewalks in front of your houses) with tolling mechanisms, we'd eliminate infrastructure subsidies to airport, seaports, and highways (see what that would to do to the price of your average Wal-Mart product or your airline fares) and to your price per gallon at the pump. By the way, if the government did not subsidize the external costs of gasoline, it would probably cost 10-20 dollars per gallon, free market style. How come no Tea Baggers are engaging in an honest discussion of the free-market distortions that they seem to support?

The name "tea bagger" is disparaging, but they deserve the disparaging term. They disparage others as being non-patriotic and un-American because we differ on the relationship of government and the constitution, and to what extent the constitution should shape decision making and the free market. The term "tea bag" is too nice for such tyrants.

I see Braman is beginning to suffer from Alzheimer's or he simply doesn't care about getting accurate facts anymore.

I'm not a fan of Miss Bell but we have to get our facts straight before we make accusations, especially now that she's in power. "La Bell" voted AGAINST Seija's $250,000 giveaway before she was ousted. This caused eyebrows to be raised cause everyone knows that VNS was a secret supporter of her.

Let's check up on the facts, people.

Every single time we disagree with a vote on any issue now we are going to recall somebody? What are we doing here?

Cheaper to use a temp agency.

Bell spoke in favor of it, even if she didn't vote for it -- will have to check. When someone sees a vote going the wrong way they cave.

So Braman supports Julio Robaina (Hialeah) for Mayor and Xavier Suarez for District 7. I hope everyone who thanked him for taking up the recall also thanks him for the aftermath... A worse government for Miami-Dade County.

Oh yeah WORSE! If you didn't think it could be worse, just wait and see if Braman's choices get elected.

Not surprising. Remember, this is a guy who 30 years ago loved Reagan.

^^^You mean, You didn't?!^^^

I appreciate the fact that Braman is supporting Suarez! What did the guy actually do that was so wrong? Was he convicted? No, what occurred was that back then the only possible way to attain any information was through the Miami Herald.... The Miami Herald had an agenda and attempted to destroy Suarez. But how the tables have changed, just last week Suarez got the Miami Herald endorsement over Julio Robaina for the District 7 election.
I am supporting and voting for Suarez, get ready for some true reform.

American Exceptionalism is being infected with creeping fascism. Admit it, David, your you will fail to maintain even a shred of credibility with me. I am not saying we are there yet, but we are traveling down that road.

David said...

Creeping fascism is being practiced even as we speak by the current occupant of the Casa Blanca who threw Israel under the bus on the eve of a state visit by their prime minister, and stiff arms requests from Congress for compliance with the War Powers Act with respect to our military involvement in Libya by sending them a letter saying he doesn't have to because the conflct is "low intensity".

It would be good to keep in mind that almost 65% of people in this country are conservative.

What say you all of socialist darling DSK staying in $3,000.00 per night hotel rooms, riding around in Porche's, flying 1st class around the world and tea bagging hotel maids for real against their will? I can hear Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, and the rest of your heroes rolling over in their graves as a prominent world citizen abuses their political moniker while living the life of Riley. Not that they didn't do it too. Socialism is an idea that promotes equal sharing of resources among all...unless you happen to be in charge of the socialist regime!!
