Supreme Court is Under Attack. By Geniusofdespair

What this bill will mean: They can stack the most conservative justices on the civil court branch and put the liberals on the criminal cases. The civil would given them the most influence over just about everything. Hopefully some of our legal readers will leave us insightful comments.

Power grab plain and simple. If they break up the courts, it would stack three brand-new judges picked by Scott.

As if the Court isn't conservative enough after 8 years of Jeb, 4 of Crist, and now an insufferably long 4 under Scott. WE CANT HAVE MORE THAN 4 UNDER SCOTT!

This is akin to FDR trying to stack the courts in the 1930s by expanding the Supreme Court.

This is distressing. The courts have been our last refuge. Scott and conservative/tea party legislators are systemically unraveling all the things I thought had merit in Florida. Tallahassee is on a jihad that will cripple our State. We must fight back.

The hardest part is getting the word out to the brain dead fools out there.

Everyone should be posting these articles to Facebook.

Can't you just feel the tide turning away from progressive liberal fascism and towards civil libertarians?

John Stosssel's story of conversion from progressive liberalism and government control everywhere, to libertarian, where government doesn't get to tread outside it Constitutionally imposed borders gives me hope for the future of America and the demise of the philosophy that more government is better.

The comments above mine on this very post are illuminative of the progressive liberal mindset...an intellectual arrongance that assumes if you don't believe as I do, you're obviously not smart enough to take care of yourself; so let me "help" you.

It is this type of mindset that believes in world government, a worldwide monetary system, and other sovreignty-minimization techniques that result in more and more control by fewer and fewer of the "elite" over the population of the world.

Calling a super-majority "rule by minority" is sophomoric, and ignores the fact that the our Constitution, Congressional rules, and many state and local laws are rife with supermajority requirements.

They exist for a reason; this is a democratic republic, not a democracy, as liberals are so fond of calling it. In a democracy, majority rules. In a republic, the rights of all are protected from a simple majority vote; thank god!

A vocal minority like the Nazi's. The tea party Aka Libertarian Republicans ( don't touch my government handout- only yours) are waning. Bauchman's rally fizzled.
